I am attracted to the orch-dorks, geeks, guitar playing, beach bum, surfers, basketball playing, football fans. Hard to come by, but that is just what catches my eye. Age-wise, I am reluctant to date someone younger than 36, or 60+. I have no problem with the height. Nails, need to be clipped and clean. Hair: bald, long, curly, all of the above. Personal hygiene a must! Managing their emotional hang-ups is important, too.

Okay, I am like only 5'2" and it is a good thing I like TALLer men. I am not really decisive about age, as long as he is mature acting (goofy is okay on occasion). I am a single mom, but my kids are old enough to behave and to act as mediators.

I am 5'10", and feel a bit awkward with a shorter man. (And I don't meet many taller ones!) Age doesn't matter, but I come from a really long-lived family and don't want to finally find a man and then spend my last 30 years as a widow. I spent 3 fruitless years on eHarmony and when they'd match me up with these men nearing 70, I always felt like sending off the first questions: "Where do you see yourself in 15 years?", "Do you want more children?" "What is your idea of adventure (or can your heart stand it)?"

I prefer the guy to be taller than me, but I'm a little on the short side so that's not too hard to find. But my head will really swivel when I see a guy that towers over everyone else.

As far as age - well, it's more about maturity.

As far as the difference - I've always been a little extra attracted to hugely tall guys. I dunno why? As far as the age difference - well, up to the point that health differences become an issue. I guess I don't have a good answer, I'm not sure. Generally I'd prefer someone close to my age. But I'm not dead set against exceptions I suppose.

Prairiehiker -> RE: Age, height, etc. (8/23/2008 12:10:20 AM)

I'm not sure if I've answer this before.

Age - five years younger or 5 years older. That's my age limit.

Height - tall, at leats 5'9. Shorter and I feel like I can beat him wrestling or I'd have to defend him when we're being attacked, lol. I just am not attracted to short men, sorry.

Body type - I really am not attracted to skinny, slim men, so he'll have to be medium build for me to notice. No beer belly for me.

Hair Color- blonds get my attention before dark haired men. But not really an issue. I've been attracted to bald men before....Bruce WIllis and Michael Jordan comes to mind, lol. I just don't like really outdated hair like the mullet, or really really long hair. That's icky.

ebony101 -> RE: Age, height, etc. (8/25/2008 4:43:21 PM)

I posted on age before, but left out height.

I'm 5 feet 2 inches - & I just enjoy being able to look up to a guy. Also there's something reassuring about his towering over me - I feel protected. Of course he doesn't have to be 6 feet + one or two inches taller than me is ok too.

Anamchara -> RE: Age, height, etc. (8/26/2008 11:49:22 PM)

I prefer taller than myself ( I am 5' 10 ish), and I am not sure about age. I in general get along with people who are older than myself..but not sure how much older I would go for. I am 26, so I guess I would go up to 32-33ish? I dont necessarily have a limit on age. I like a bigger build, brown hair blue eyes..sighs :)

This statement feels as if it came from my own thoughts.

It'd be hard to find a dude shorter than me...I'm 5'4".
I don't like younger guys, mostly because the guys my age and I don't have anything in common. Can't think of a statemen that is more true to me, either.
That and most of the guys my age look right past me. Ditto

I tend to like the experience, maturity, and self-assuredness that older men have. They know what they want and aren't generally as self-absorbed as the men my age I know. That is why the present interest is good for me in this sense. He is 10 years older than me and knows himself and what he wants.

Stick to your guns, Soprano. He is out there, somewhere.[:)]
