Awww, thanks Shelagirl. I came up with something else for the OP: I am a murderer. I picked up the stone and cast it at the sinner. I have no regrets about the death of this one, if only the mirror didn’t get in my way.

oh my goodness... yours is the most beautiful poetry I have heard since college... perhaps ever. I am going to coin a new phrase, at least I've never heard it before, but you are the beginning of a whole distinct genre of... indie-poets ur work is quite unique and breathtaking. I am forwarding the link to my husband and several friends. will definitely be promoting your poetry to ppl, and I strongly encourage you to get it into book form of some kind. I would definitely buy a copy. Do you have a myspace of ur work, or something on myccm.org I know it's not music per se, but I could easily see you incorporating some songwriting into your writing. wow :o)

okay a google search shows that the phrase is already out there... but it lacks defining. So let's define it, shall we, or perhaps you already have... indie not as in music, not as in being independent of a record label. Rather indie as independent and standing alone -- at a distance from the norm, peculiar, noticeable, uniquely skewed and memorable. I have seen similar breaking techniques used... but not with the skill and flavor that you have demonstrated. It was always a favorite technique of mine in college (many years ago)... but you truly have a gift for it. sorry, I know I'm going on about it but I am truly overwhelmed by the depth and imagery of your writing. Therefore I see you as an indie-poet being vastly different from the term used in the music world. and to think all this time I thought you were just another writer with an interesting avatar. haha.

Maren’s breath came in short gasps. He cautioned a quick glance behind and could see the shadows growing larger. The temple guards were gaining and their boots thundered against the polished stone floor. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It is part of a bigger project- but this is the actual opening of it. I agree with previous poster, this is a fun thread!

Rubs hands together and grins magnanimously "I have hundreds of these things this is how I find my creativity and inspire myself and develope my characters. Here is one of my favs." “Myethella, my sweet, fear not. I may be the perfect predator but that also makes me the perfect protector as I strive to be perfect in everything I do.” and another one cuz I can't resist “Ah, music the connector of souls, tread carefully my love lest you irrevocably attach your heart to something you were not expecting.” What about... “I can only give you clues as to who and what I am, your heart must make the connections on its own.” Or... “I see the truth glimmering in your eyes, they reflect your soul allowing all who would search for it too see your innermost reasoning’s.” and My Personal Fav... “Anticipation is almost if not more satisfying than the actual culmination of the event, don’t you agree?” LOL I actually have a folder called Quotes in which I take my most beautific moments or thoughts as they strike me and write them down. Then I write the story around the quote like a blanket around and infant who will develope into something strong and inexplicable in its intricacies. Are we allowed to post more than one cuz I wanna post all of 'em. lol Most of them are dialogue my characters would say to each other, but I do have several of captured moments. I must say you guys are unbelievably talented I was held and caught by every single post I read, in fact looking back it takes physical effort to tear my eyes away from some they are so moving. I didn't read the rules so I can delete this if its to big or much or off subject lol.

hahahaha ^_^ Weaselofdoom, I would read the intro of a story with this lead-in, just because it's so wonderfully bizarre. Kinda makes the reader take a double take and gasp out loud, "wait a minute... now what did that just say?" I luv it!
