funny you mention it: I've been hearing a lot about how the world's worst film maker (since Ed Wood[8D]), Uwe Boll is daring some people out there to pay him handsomely to never step behind the camera, much less the director's chair ever again! Maybe some of us should take up on his online offer![:D]

Tough Guys Don't Dance.

Has Ryan O'Neal ever made a good movie? Except for maybe What's Up Doc?

Strange Wilderness. Yikes! what a bad movie. I expected a stoner movie, but this was just plain bad.

DreadPirateRandy -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/9/2008 6:16:32 AM)

SuperBad.

One of the worst movies ever.

PrincessButtercup -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/9/2008 11:07:55 AM)

I completely forgot about In The Name Of The King. We Netflixed that, and had it back in the mail the very next day. I was so disappointed in it, because I love watching some Jason Statham movies. Anyways, it had a stupid story and was too ridiculous to take seriously. And when it ended so abruptly, I was like "what?"

I_Walk_Alone -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/10/2008 1:02:05 AM)

I remember first hearing about Superbad. The first thing that popped in my head is the name says it all. This movie is so bad its SuperBad.

I did rent Cloverfield and I absolutely hated it. By far one of the stupidest sc-fi/monster movies I have ever seen. First complaint was that it was shot the same way as the friggin Blair Witch Project, which sucked too. Then they didn't stop their, they decided to rip off some more superior movies/stories. The running count for rip-offs was at least 4 movies. That being Blair Witch Project, Alien, The War of the Worlds, and Godzilla type movies. Then completely unrealistic sequences follow.

Concerning Cloverfield, can I also suggest movie rip off #5: Cannibal Holocaust. This is the same cult flick that Blair Witch Project tried to emulate, but fail to successfully duplicate.[&:][8D][:D][;)]

I_Walk_Alone -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/10/2008 3:30:55 AM)

Hmmm, I have never heard of that movie. But I will take your word for it. So that makes rip off number 5.lol

Cannibal Holocaust pretty much utilizes the same sort of, 'found' footage, mockumentary format as say, Blair Witch and Cloverfield, except for the fact that CH is one of those late 70's, Italian splatter flicks (read: horror) that involves some opportunistic American filmmakers, trying to goad some Amazonian tribe into practicing their titular 'activities,' so to speak. Very controversial then as now.*
*it was placed on then-Britain's notorious, video nasties list back in the 80's.

DreadPirateRandy -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/10/2008 4:08:10 PM)

I remember watching the first 30 minutes of an unedited version of Cannibal Holocaust. Disgusting.

revbob4God -> RE: Stupid Moives (8/11/2008 11:07:54 AM)

I don't even remember the name of the movie but it had Madonna, and I think Sean Penn.

It was so bad you don't remember it. Nuff said. [8D]

Uh... if I may refresh anybody's memory, it's...

Shanghai Surprise (or something like it[8D]. I guess it's so superbad that it's a film title worth forgetting... and I only seen a few minutes worth of it![:'(] that's more than I can handle!).
