My Dad passed away this morning. He went home to be with his Father in Heaven on Father's Day. We're all doing fine right now knowing that after a year and a half ....we know that he's finally walking again and speaking. He had a stroke and was bedridden with feeding tube and unable to speak. Please pray for our family as we make arrangements and to focus on God on His goodness and love.

Oh, my heart is with you, Jodavi. I lost my dad four years ago after his short but very painful illness. My heart is with you in Christ...

Lord God, may You fill this family's spirits up to overflowing with a sense of Your deep companionship and comfort. May You cause all the many details of the arrangements to go smoothly and to Your glory. In the midst of sorrow, may there be that sort of joy only You can give. May You provide that peace that passes understanding. May Your gospel be spread to those who don't yet know it. May those who know You be encouraged with a deeper understanding of Your grace in the midst of suffering and death. May this family be so taken with Your obvious goodness and love as they follow You step by step. In the great name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Our Precious Lord,
We ask that you give peace to this entire family.
We ask that you give courage & strength to those left behind.
We ask that you help them celebrate this man's life knowing he is with you Lord.

Oh, Jodavi, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know you loved him very much. He is finally free...thank God for that.

Lord, please be with Jodavi and her Mother and family. Comfort their hearts and hold them close to You. Will You please reveal Yourself to them in a very special and personal way during this difficult time of grieving? Help them to rest in your love and grace. Thank you for the blessed assurance that Jodavi's Dad is with You. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Thank you all for the prayers. We laid to rest my Dad on Thursday and it was a beautiful day as we celebrated his life. The entire family decided to take a walk by the downtown river- it was raining a bit but after the rain....there were a number of rainbows in the sky and it made me smile. GOD IS SO GOOD!
