If I left anything off please add your own. Be honest. No one is going to see your personal results. This poll is not asking for what you are looking for in a guy. It is asking for what you see most single guys lack in.

Not on the list: realistic standards for a girlfriend/wife, especially in their physical appearance. Most of my single guy friends won't consider dating a girl who isn't "pretty enough," and they've passed up some amazing women as a result. Maybe I just hang around guys who are incredibly picky about what their girlfriend looks like, but that's been my experience. ETA: I voted for "expectations", because I guess that's what I mean.

I voted direction and goals. With good goals and the strength and courage to work towards those goals, many of the other issues fall into place.

I put direction. I pray for the guys in my singles group often... that they would have a passion for the Lord first and most. I pray that they would spend their time in light of eternity- on things that matter in the long run.

well i'm only 17, so must of the guys i know are too focused on themselves and not with their realtionship with Jesus Christ [so i voted spirtuality] I believe that when you have a solid relationship with Jesus you'll have the rest of things that you have listed up there.

I have my flaws that could be turn offs, as do all guys, and I don't expect a woman to settle for me if she doesn't like me. Conversely, I don't think you can ask a guy to date a girl he isn't attracted to.

Gee, I didn't see it on your list. Friendliness. Honestly, some guys are so busy trying to be cool or whatever, they can't just be normal. I love the sort of friendliness that is humble. Humble doesn't mean being weak or timid, it means not thinking more highly of yourself than you aught. Being slow to take offense, and quick to encourage (esteem another higher than yourself) and be friendly. Just be human. Be someone I can be comfortable with. But, then, I guess that requires being comfortable with yourself. Be someone that I can feel comfortable enough with falling to sleep in your arms. Don't take yourself too seriously--and don't take me to seriously. We're all just people here, travelling on this journey called life. It's nice to have a companion on the journey. Real nice. I selected "financial situation".... which refers to how one handles money, biblically speaking, as opposed to how much money someone earns. Too many people (male and female) are over their heads in debt, living paycheck-to-paycheck, and lacking basic biblical knowledge about stewardship, saving, charitable giving, budgeting, and what the bible says about debt. But this information is out there, and available, and can be learned. And it should be. There are even some great christian sites out there to help (www.crown.org is one). Of course, many of the other items on the list are important, too. (I should note that when I married my wonderful DH back in 2003, he was 100% debt free, with money in the bank, regularly tithed, and could be the spiritual as well as financial leader of our household.)

I'd say bad habits in general, whether lack of hygiene, laziness, smoking, drinking, bad finanical habits....

I would have to say spirituality. Being 25, some of the men that I know might proclaim Christianity but certainly dont live a lifestyle that reflects their proclamation. I desire someone who lives a life that is lead by the Spirit, and continualy challenges themselves to be more like Jesus.
