I'm not even sure how they can justify the title, as Obama's brother never actually says that Obama was raised Muslim in any of his interviews, just that his family has a Muslim background (and they acknowledge this in the body of the article, but I guess they hoped the readers would either be too blinded by anti-Obama hate or too stupid to notice).

I am not an Obama fan, not at all. But I am disturbed to see this kind of stuff going on. It doesn't help our cause to twist truth and sensationalize things. [:@] I already knew Barak had a "Muslim background". That doesn't make him a Muslim. If having a Muslim father and being taught the Koran as a child makes one a lifelong Muslim, then the majority of Christians in the Middle East are really Muslim, by that definition. [8\|]

Can I tell you how silly this all looks from the outside? You are sitting on an election that will affect not only yourselves but a lot of people around the world, your vote has the potential to affect so much that goes on in the world, and all the talk is about whether someone was once a Muslim or not? I remember during one of the primaries, a news station was doing interviews with people before they voted. There was one woman who responded "I'm voting for Hilary because Barack is a Muslim." When the reporter told her that it has been disproven and Barack has said he was never a Muslim the lady said "I don't care what he says, he's a Muslim." (I know that not all Americans are like this lady, but that is what we're seeing in the media (your media), and frankly, it's sad.)

I'm not planning on voting for him and I really disagree with a lot of his policies, but yes topic has been put out there time and time again, with no real evidence. I don't think it's right to spread rumors as if they are truth, and continue to do so even when the rumors are proven to be false. It makes it difficult to hear what Barack is really all about because all the media wants to stick to is rumors and myths. You never get his actual message unless you take the time to research it yourself. It's sad that this goes on with such an important subject.

Nice try, but you will have to do better than that. Obama having a Muslim background or Muslim family members does not make him a Muslim and his brother never "outed" him as a Muslim to begin with. By that same logic, the woman at my church who was raised a Hindu but later became a Christian really is a Hindu, despite her conversion and the obvious evidence of her Christianity. I also think it is very arrogant for people, on this board and other places, to presume they know more about his heart and his relationship with God than Barack Obama himself does. Only Barack Obama and God know that answer. I really think they are trying to take advantage of the Obama haters who are too blinded and too uneducated to actually read and investigate and will only stop at what the article is trying to highlight. Plus, it has been well established that he isn't a Muslim, his father was actually an athiest--not a Muslim by religion by any means, and it has been well-established that the "madrassa" they say he went to is not that at all, but a school where school of multiple faiths attended--that story was debunked long ago. I don't know what is more pathetic--the lengths people will go to demonize him or those who are so blinded by hate or else stupidity that they take everything they read at face value.

I go along with Luther, who said he'd rather be ruled by a wise Turk, than a ignorant Christian. However, even if B.O. was saved, sanctified, baptized, with the Holy Ghost, and Pentacostal fire, and wanted to do the things he's talking about, policy wise, he still wouldn't get my vote. This is the same kind of garbage that helped run Mitt Rommney out of the primaries. Stick to the issues.

He later sort of retracted the Muslims-can-get-to-heaven heresy after one of his people told him that was a no-no, but it's obvious he didn't understand why it wasn't okay. I also read his assertion that he didn't need to be born again because he was born a Christian. And I've heard out of his own mouth that he avoids talking about sin (I don't think you'll see the Cross anywhere in his church either.) Maybe I'm confussed by the whole abortion issue, but if he is a representative of the people and the people want abortion doesn't he have to vote the way the people want?
