(On second thought, she broke my heart and left me bawling for most of my last year of college. So with that in mind, I say go for it. What's important is not really the location or the name of the college, but the people around you & how you relate to them.

Don't forget to have fun when you can, but take your classes seriously (STUDY!), don't skip them if you can help it (I learned that the hard way), and take your time figuring out what you want to major in rather than just rushing into something blindly.
