Romney/Biden

Unless of course Obama has been a ruse all along and the Dems secretly plotted to let the nincompoop take a bunch of heat knowing that they will actually nominate Hilary at the convention....

Anyway, I am sensing that the messiah will select Biden, even though I think he is a terrible choice. If the big O wants to have an actual chance at victory, he would select Mrs. Clinton.

Still flogging this 'messiah' lie, even though you must know by now that it is a MCCAIN campaign term of disparagement for Obama, and not a term that neither Obama nor his campaign has ever used for himself?

There is a word for repeating falsehood when you know it to be false - do you know what that word is? Hint - it's covered by the Ninth Commandment (or the 8th in the Roman Catholic and some Lutheran traditions)

Wait a minute... Didn't you just blow up and tell the mods on me for imaginary "attacks" against you? And yet you think it is ok to flat out call me a liar? Heh, you are definitely a liberal Democrat.

Let me show you why you are wrong (again): The owrds that you quoted are mine. Not McCain's, not the Republican Party's, mine. I choose to call Barack Hussein Obama a lower case messiah because it is funny and points out his audacity of pomposity. YOU are the one that can't let go of the "OBAMA NEVER CALLS HIMSELF THAT!!!1111" line. So, if it isn't above your pay grade to do so, please go back and read my post slowly.

Done?

I accept your apology.

SwedishCovenant -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 11:00:18 AM)

Calling Obama a 'messiah' is either a delibrate falsehood on its own merits OR a deliberate falsehood by falsely implying that Obama has made that claim for himself - take your pick.

Here's another hint - if you don't want the title, don't do the act.

huskarine -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 11:14:59 AM)

i think BO will pick Tim Kaine as his running mate, since he is pro-life (as i have discovered on another thread)...it will be BO's statement of stepping over the political divide.

i think the wait for announcing it is stupid though...can i get the FOIA on this???[sm=hug.gif][sm=sidesmile.gif]

HighPlainsDrifter -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 11:21:31 AM)

Please, please, please let it be Biden on the donk ticket.

By the way, i never flat-out called you a liar.

That, too, was a deliberate falsehood on your part.

Call it statement what you will.

todd_t -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 12:56:55 PM)

Considering how late this decision is being dragged out (already past noon, EDT), I'm beginning to suspect the VP in question will not be revealed until tommorrow's Obama rally in Springfield.

SuspenseWriter -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 1:01:29 PM)

I'll bet you're right, Todd. And ten minutes after he announces the name, the Internet is gonna be ablaze with "what does it mean?" angst from both sides. [8D]

davemiller7 -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 1:08:17 PM)

He wants to emulate Abraham Lincoln in Springfield.

No kidding. Empty noise all.

But at the big announcement I fully expect fireworks and brass bands, in addition to dancing bears, fire eaters, and perhaps a sideshow performer or two.

todd_t -> RE: VP predictions (8/22/2008 2:01:51 PM)

Just a thought: if it's Obama's intent to rev up the drama machine as much as possible prior to this announcement (and it seems so), which VP selectee would, in fact, be the most dramatic?

Hillary.

I'm not saying this will happen, per se. I guess I'm just thinking "out loud" (while typing).

And if it DOES happen that way, watch how fast the Obama campaign crashes and burns.

So wait.. am I still lying when I use the term messiah for [sm=bigears.gif] Obama? And if I AM lying, doesn't that make me a liar? And if I am lying but I am not a liar, can you teach me how you can believe two mutually exclusive realities at the same time?

Hey! You should apply to be on the [sm=bigears.gif] messiah's cabinet! He would probably LOVE an advisor that can hold multiple mutually exclusive positions at the same time!

Seriously, if you are going to call someone a liar, have the courage to follow through with it!

Now, stop derailing the thread.

...and I still accept your apology! [sm=frog.gif]

Good advice for Mr Obama... You think he'll take notice and stop supporting abortion and the homosexual agenda?

Do you ever sleep? Up all night waiting for The Messiah, B. Hussein O. The Wicked's decision with the rest of his fans, huh? [;)]
(My excuse? I'm in the U.K. this weekend and it's 8:00 AM here)

Anyway. Yeah, Biden.

Already the McCain camp is pulling up quotes of Biden saying The Messiah, B. Hussein O. The Wicked isn't ready to be president. One thing you can say about this ticket, it definitely won't be boring.

The McCain camp has announced it will unveil its VP nominee tomorrow at noon (EDT).

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/28/mccain.vp/index.html

My money is still on Romney, but with McCain, you never know when he'll go all maverick on you and pick a dark horse.
