Has anyone heard how Cindy Kerr is doing today with the leg injury? I don't think Kerr has posted today to let us know if she had to go to the ER for more treatment.

I hope Mrs. K's leg is ok! Did SharMar share her calendula cream with Mrs. K?
I had to read up on it. Fascinating stuff! Not only does it help wounds heal, it also helps with upset stomachs, ulcers, menstrual cramps, and hemorrhoids! You've got to get this stuff, Kerrlaw!!!

I have a better secret to thick, juicy burgers. What I do is get the 93% (if I can) ground beef and let it soak in Worcestershire sauce for about ten minutes (it'd be better for 20 minutes if you have the time). When it comes time to form the burgers (and this is very important), don't do a lot to them. Pick up a handful of ground beef, form it into a hamburger patty with as little movement as you can, and set it aside. The meat is more tender (and retains it's juices better) that way. Since I found that secret, my dad has insisted that I make the burgers he cooks on the grill.

That sounds like what hubby does too...and they are delicious!!!

Ruth (and anyone else who's interested), you can find calendula cream (and/or oil) in any "nature" store . . . herb shops, health-food stores, etc., etc.
The brand I've been using for several years now is Wind River Herbs (which is also the company that manufactures the Arnica I use, along with some other homeopathic and/or natural rememdies) . . . I don't buy them direct from Wind River; although I'm very sure you can (I buy my from The Herb Store in Jackson, Wy). Wind River is an excellent brand, though and carries very high-quality products. I've been very impressed with them.

Brenda, they don't have an online store . . . however, they will ship products if you'd like them to.
(You'd just have to know what products you want . . . I've been going there for about 6-7 years now, so I practically have some parts of the shop memorized. LOL)

Frog I don't know about the regular jury duty having not served but I think you will enjoy the Grand Jury. Those usually turn out to be very interesting and entertaining.

It's not that I don't want to serve; I really am looking forward to it. It's just bad timing. I was looking for a job so that I can go back to school because I found out that my retirement money is running out due to the economy and such. It wouldn't be so bad, but the jury duty is for two months.
