Okay. Next week, I'll plan to spend some evenings with George. I'll keep y'all updated.

Since I can't regulate the temperature, I'll try spraying the fish/salmon and see what happens. Thanks for the idea, y'all!

The Aroma health grill has temp controls, which is big plus as to why I love it Yes, I have found that spraying (or rubbing/drizzling your choice of oil) the items you are cooking works much better than spraying the pan itself.....

ORIGINAL: crankius OH WISE COUNSELOR KERRLAW, My relationship with George is just not doing well. He's been in my pantry since Christmas, lonely I'm sure, wondering why I am not attracted to him. He's just not doing it for me. He doesn't even come to my thoughts. Every evening as I prepare meals for the family, George is far from my mind. Just what am I supposed to cook in Mr. George, anyway???? Do you have a Mr. George? Here's the story. My in-laws gave us a George Foreman many years ago. I'm not interested in keeping items I have no need for, so we returned it to the store. About a year later, my FIL asked me if we had a George. I said we did , you gave it to us, but we returned it. The in-laws must have forgotten this, because this last Christmas they gave us another George. This time, out of guilt, we thought we should probably keep it. I wanted to return it, but golly, it just seems so rude to return a gift a second time. I've only used George once. The instructions said something about grilling sandwiches, so I grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch one day. They came out as squished cheese patties. Not appetizing at all. My family was not impressed. (I don't even like cheese sandwiches. ) I probably did something wrong, though, because I can't imagine anyone would like squished patty sandwiches. So maybe I should give George another chance. Let me start by saying how happy I am that my thread has replaced the George Foreman grill thread that used to be in Home and Garden (it just disappeared one day). We don't have one yet. We gave my parents a nice one several years ago and they immediately returned it (a la the crankys). Same parents then gave Cindy and I an "imitation" GFG, which we promptly returned. Reading on the forums has just about convinced us that we need one. We want the one with adjustable temperature (which may solve the burnt fish problem heretofore mentioned).
