Sorry, I keep getting between James and the CTL.
Is that kinda like between a rock and a hard place? Since I've been told I have rocks in my head...

James,
I hear ya' talkin' and can relate.

At least those rocks & gravel serve well to occassionally filter thru my muddy water and actually allow me to say something half-way sensible

I'm bein' bad poppin' back on these forums too much today...I'm supposed to be cleaning my house for guests tomorrow....

Hi, Mike...striving for good manners not to unintenionally ignore the host

even tho' we sometimes decide we have to intentionally do or say things.... .......
not!!!

I have a question about smoke points. If George starts smoking, do you need to exorcise him?

Only if he's not plugged in.

Boneless Chicken Breasts with just a splash of Worchester sauce and some lemon pepper is yummy on my GF Grill. Zap a Idaho potato or sweet potato in the microwave and steam some broccoli or spinach and I'm ready to eat fast and fairly healthy.

Mr. Cranky came home for lunch and we discussed George.

He calls George the Flavor Drainer. He says he doesn't want the grease to drain away...he wants all the grease to stay with the food.

I love grease too, but what I've made has always stayed plenty juicy. (I have been known to gag on dry meat)...

The way I make burgers when we grill out, the flavor does not drain out.

Just got home to find this nice talk about George. I have 2 George's that I use & love. Besides hamburgers I have done steak, hot dogs, boneless pork, turkey cutlets, & vegtables. I have even made meatloaf patties & they were great. All turned out well.

Which is a good reason not to need non-stick cooking items...

ROFLOL!

Well . . . there's exceptions to every rule

And Mrs. Qtman's fudge and ham are exceptions to more than one of my rules.

I, too, love my grill. I use it more than the stove or microwave. One way I do fish is to make a foil packet, add fish with any combination of olive oil, lemon juice; any herbs or spices; and any combination of vegetables such as onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. Throw it on the grill, and it comes out perfect every time.

I agree Frog. The George Foreman and Microwave are indispensable items in our kitchen.

We cook it on the Foreman and warm up the leftovers in the microwave.

One time the microwave died as I was trying to heat up my dinner. I went to the store & purchased a new one before finishing up dinner. Can't live without the microwave.

This is funny being that I remember life before microwaves. I will admit, though, that I would not want to go back to life without them but if I had to, I think I could. The hardest part is leftovers. It's a lot harder to warm them on the stove and have them taste as good.

You are speaking of an outside grill though, right? Do people use foil packets in the George?

Is there a thread about aliens anywhere? We should start one. Where should an alien thread be?
