Oh, please! Stop with the victimization drama. It's like a constant dripping. If you go to work every day, work hard, are honest, don't steal from the company and, most of all, don't view your employer as anyone who owes you anything more than the opportunity they risked their capital and livelyhood to create and entrust to you, you'll be a valued employee. You'll be entrusted with more responsibility, more benefits and will be more capable of providing for all your family's needs. You'll be a success, because there aren't enough people like this. If you view your employer as someone who owes you your job, your health care, your sick leave, maternity leave, stress leave, hang-nail leave, or whatever, you'll see your employer as cruel and heartless, you'll see yourself as a victim, and you'll see others as lacking compassion when they don't feel sorry for you because your attitude cost you your job. This also applies to your view of government. And before you accuse me of lacking compassion, look in the mirror and see if there's a log in your own eye that has envy, covetousness, ingratitude and self-pity carved into it.
