I can'l link directly to the video itself, but to the page it's on. http://www.gccwired.com/streampage.asp?pageID=135 Go down the page, and watch the vido excerpt called "Viral_Moments (Easter Weekend)" You won't have to watch long, it's just after the openning dice tricks and in the first song. I guess that, to add a bit of something different to the overhead lyrics, someone had the idea of putting the words, or at least some of them, on someone's hand and having that person manipulate their hands to show the words at the right times. Not a bad idea in itself, I think, but in order to do it, in a few places they had to stick a solo middle finger up to show a word. My question is, was this an obscene gesture? Or if not, was it close enough to one that it maybe should have been re-thought? For my part, I really have to ask "Who thought doing that was a good idea?" I know some say it wasn't obscene because of the palm was facing the camera instead of the back of the hand, but even knowing that, it was still rather shocking to see it the first time I did, and I wonder how many people would know the difference. I'm fine with the hand idea (maybe they should lose the robot guys though), but it needs better execution if it's tried again.
