Nice to see that my other thread is alive and well. :)

What was your easiest class in college?

Newswriting... which worked out great since I was a Journalism major. [;)]

In jr. college, it was my 2 speech classes, and my Spanish class. I don't mind about the speech classes being easy, because it wasn't because the teacher didn't require stuff, it's just that the nature of what was required was easy for me.

The spanish class, however, was too easy because the teacher did not require things[:(]. All we had to do was show up. And before anybody jumps on me about 2 year colleges because of that, I will say here and now that that was the ONLY class like that. I wish it had been harder, because I might have learned more.

As far as my four year college, boy all the classes were pretty hard. But the easiest...I guess was personal fitness and aerobics..yes we had to do written work, but it wasn't too hard. As far as a non pe class, I guess Teaching Social Studies was my easiest class.

Nothing at this college is that easy... even the things I thought should be easy ended up hard. I haven't had any easy ones, but General Psychology was probably the least hard. I think I got so used to hard biology/chemistry/physics that anything that wasn't on that level was a blessing. Chorale is pretty easy too, but it's a ton of work for one credit.

Jewel- mine was a two year college and we were required to do the work in all classes except in my Shakespeare class. That we were required to stay awake for..... in my case that was a real challenge. [:D]

TorchHeart -> RE: What was your easiest college class? (6/22/2008 12:29:20 AM)

The ones I skipped. ;)

Of course, those were also the ones I flunked, too. :(

Being serious. Anything dealing with public speaking I found easy did well in, including Broadcast Performance, Public Speaking, Advertising, etc.

Well, I did get an A in Political Science. It is the only A I ever got.

Off the top of my head... I am going to say this past year I had 3 way easy courses... in grad school. There was Counseling, which required ONLY that we complete one test at the end of the year- show up if you want, but you need what we learned in class for the "test." Which was an essay I completed in like an hour. Oh, and did I mention, the class was an hour short EVERY week?

Same prof the next semester for "advanced" counseling. No assignments, but you HAD to be in every class (though they still ran short) because we partnered up, and there were a lot of in-class activities.

And Play Therapy in which I did feel like I learned some things, but the assignments were so easy and took no time at all to complete.

I had really hoped I would have left my psychology master's program with a great in depth overview of counseling skills, though :(

Over the years, at both hard & easy schools, I had both hard and easy classes. I had classes at the two year community college that were as hard or harder than some of my more advanced classes at the competitive schools...

Some of the easy were computer literacy which started with how to turn it on (I have had computers since the Vic 20), social psychology (where she gave us all the questions on the test in order the week before the class- some of us actually complained about that one!), and something like "walking for fitness."

Speech was actually one of my hardest classes (and was at the two-year community college) because 1) I had a fear of public speaking and 2) I had the really hard prof who thought it was the most important thing in the world and everyone said NOT to take him... and even the guidance people said not to take it your first semester (but I wanted it OUT of the way!). I actually ended up with not only an A, but the only perfect score he had every had on one of his tests!

Angling (for PE credit) I never showed up for a single class and got an A. There must not have been any tests, or even attendance taken.

Calculus II. Seriously, and this from someone who dropped Cal. II in high school because my grade was so low [;)] We had 5 question tests and the questions were worth 25 point each. I ended the semester with a 125%... in a math class [8D]

Spanish 201, I guess. I had tested into the 300 level classes, but I was scared of taking junior level my freshman year! So I went to 201. It was nice and easy. [;)]

Worship Choir, Handbells, Biblical Hermeneutics, Airline Reservationing, Destinations, Group Travel.

You aren't going to believe me, but my easiest class was calculus.

Before you guys start throwing erasers at me, let me explain. I had a physics classs where I was hopelessly over my head, so I went to see the prof in his office. Turns out, he was using calculus and I had never taken it.

Bless him. He told me to come in to his office every day, and he taught me calculus.

So I signed up for calculus the following quarter, and since I'd already been taught it, it was easy.

His name was Dr. Cannell at UC Santa Barbara, and I will never forget his kindness to me.

When I was at university, my easiest class was probably Introduction to Judiasm, Christianity and Islam. That and a class on Post-Communism (the subject matter didn't seem easy, but I always came out with a high mark on little work.)

At college my easiest classes were Public Speaking, and my second semester writing class (which is funny because my first semester writing class was the hardest.)

endless_night -> RE: What was your easiest college class? (7/2/2008 5:09:00 PM)

Hands down, Astronomy.

I knew it was going to be an easy class when the teacher opened the door on the first day and said pretty much everyone will have a 90% or higher in his class.

PrincessButtercup -> RE: What was your easiest college class? (7/3/2008 1:59:56 PM)

Intro to Computers. Way too easy to be a college class.

That reminds me that maybe I should have said my easiest college class was media seminars. And yes, it was a at the four year college. At least it was just a pass/fail class, but still. Well, 2 of the weeks were really easy, and two were hard. The two easy weeks, we learned how to use the laminating machine, and how to put stuff on cardboard with rubber cement[8|]. However, the 2nd two weeks involved a lot of computer stuff, and I wasn't very computer savvy at the time, so the last two weeks were harder. Plus, I did kind of have a personality clash with that teacher, so that made it harder in a way. She said one time she felt like throwing her computer out the window, and I misheard her, and thought she said she (literally) threw her computer out the window, and I was like[sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif], and I guess ever after she thought I was an id.i.ot.[&o]

Theater Appreciation. I think a lot had to do with my instructor. He has such a passion for theater & I love to act. I've never had professional acting, I've only been in a few plays/dramas in my church. I also do not mind speaking in front of people. This was a fun class for me!

bzirk -> RE: What was your easiest college class? (7/5/2008 9:56:57 PM)

It's a toss up between French and college algebra. After four years of Latin and a lot of math in high school, those two course were pretty easy.

Okay, okay, things like music appreciation and art appreciation were pretty easy, but I almost don't even consider those college classes. They were just filler.

beachcooky -> RE: What was your easiest college class? (7/5/2008 11:36:22 PM)

I just completed my freshman year in college. I think my Math class was the easiest in the first semester. I was even nominated the Student of the Semester by my Math teacher! I was only going parttime, with two classes. But Math was definitely the easiest, but only in the first semester.
