I bet the unborn beg to differ...

John

The man supports abortion abroad so while in theory the US might not kill as many in Iraq under the Obama regime his support for the cold blooded murder of the unborn here and in other countries far outweighs his <cough> concern for whomever... Do the math...

In the United State roughly 3500 unborn children are put to death... Toss in the rest of the murdered unborn and that is the millstone the ungodly Obama has tied around his neck...

That's what you happily support...

John

It is interesting...I could not help but notice how many of the Obama supporters here (partiuclaly the person with the shoot for the stars myspace thing) are so concerned with the welfare of children yet seem to overlook the fact that this man supports late term abortions. Not just late term, he supports the partial delivery of the child and then the murder of that partially born child in the birth canal. This is the kind of record that has placed this person at the very left edge of liberlism.

If you are so concerned about children, shouldn't the fact the he supports murder of children disqualify him in your mind? How can you quote scripture but not live to its message? What is the purpose of that anyway? To make you feel better about yourself?

just asking.

voy,
The ruthless abortion practices you mentioned are not on the "edge of liberalism." It is dead solid center liberalism. Not a single Democratic candidate for president this year opposed partial birth abortion. The one exception might have been Joe Biden, who at one time opposed pba, but backed off when he didn't want to appear to be out of the bloody liberal mainstream.

The one issue that might put him out of the liberal mainstream is how to treat children who accidentally survive abortion. When a legislator in the Illinois legislature, Obama opposed the state's version of the Born Alive Infant Protection act. The act requires medical staff to treat these children like any other patient and try to keep them alive or provide comfort. Obama opposed it. Do a search on Jill Stanek if you want to read about it. She was a nurse in Illinois who exposed the practice of purposely denying medical care to abortion survivors.

But for many "Christians", Obama is their secular Messiah. That they will gladly kneel before, and swear undying fealty to, this man is sickening in the extreme.

RosieCotton -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/26/2008 3:25:15 PM)

lol....thanx for your comment, and since u said me, then yes......i'll reply........
I dont support abortion, i would never have one..........and its not like Obama is holding a gun to peoples heads and saying only one child........u must get rid of this one........so, he can back something up......but, the bottom line is people are choosing to go this way or that way. And, since we are a country of choice........and like Obama mentioned in another speech, we are no longer a country of just Christians.......i would say, my choice isnt this way......but for me to say a person has to choose my way, isnt right, for i would not want them to choose an abortion for me.........if you took it the other way. People in other countries dying.......under the leadership of a prolife president, makes no sense, as they or their countries didnt choose to go to war....And Bush was the one to go for a way that would only line his and his friends pockets.....where is the outrage there?!?!?!?! An to think of McCain wanting to support that is pretty terrifying to me.......makes me glad i am single with no children. And no, i dont need this argument to make me feel better about myself!!!! I know the little i do as a teacher and volunteer in my own community is helping the children where i live!! i've never quoted scripture for Obama......i just see him as the best person in my eyes to support.
And dont take it upon yourself to change my way of thinking via an argument, or harsh words.....

Rosiecotton, you do seem to be really concerned about innocent folks dying in Afghanistan and Iraq, but just keep supporting Obama and when he retreats from Irag where the war on terror is being fought, then the terrorist will be here on our homeland killing innocents.

That is the one thing that libs just refuse to look at. Terrorist are training all over the Muslim world and going to Irag to kill Americans. Where will they go to kill Americans when Obama retreats without victory. Well where the Americans are; the good ole USA.

I praise God that President Bush had the insight to understand this and choose a battleground far away from our shores and chose to fight it with our trained volunteer servicemen.

RosieCotton -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/26/2008 9:08:19 PM)

The terrorists will be coming here becuz of our strategies that helped tick them off even more during these 7 years of war! And u know it wasnt about terrorism that we went off and picked a fight in Iraq. Because there are more worse dictators/terrorists out there then Saddam was.
Our great friends, the Saudis aren't wonderful people, and most of the terrorists that came here were from Saudi.

Right...And that explains '93 WTC bombing, '96 housing attack in Saudi Arabia (killing 19 US service members), '98 African Embassy Bombs, 2000 Attack on the USS Cole, 9/11....

Yea and they are "more" mad at us now? What will they do? Attack our soil AGAIN for the FIRST time since 9/11? Wow your logic is right up their with the greats of all time. You know like Spock almost....

Stephanos, i was answering this question!!!! As to why, if they do come, they will then come!!!!!

Not explaining any former things.......[8|]

sunshinesoprano -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/27/2008 8:59:31 AM)

I think we all need to calm down a little bit and not take things personally, myself included.

Just because an opinion differs from mine doesn't mean the person is personally attacking me.

Well you have a very poor way of expressing your intended ideas.

You said that AQ is "MADDER" at us now because of the past 7 years. And THAT is why they will come over here to US soil to attack us.

My point, was madder than what? Madder than the attacks against us before and including 9/11? And is it interesting that since, as you say, we have made them "madder" over these past seven years, again there have been NO attacks against US interests outside of Iraq and Afghanistan.

RosieCotton -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/27/2008 12:02:15 PM)

i think they are madder then before......we've detained innocent(?) people for years in guatanamo......and other hidden prisons......we're in a war that we started against a people who had nothing to do to attack us......and we've stayed there for 7 years w/people talking about being there for another 100 years. I think that region is a lot madder then 7 years ago!

ljmac -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/27/2008 12:02:25 PM)

Has B.O. called anyone a "typical white person" lately?

RosieCotton -> RE: Obama plays his oun race card (6/27/2008 12:04:31 PM)

good grief......i was responding to the fact that it was said that if obama retreats they will bring the war to the US!!!!!!! I was like, well, if that did happen then this is why it would happen.

Sorry for not having a mind of a theologian! [8|]

You don't have to have the mind of a theologian.

Stop regurgitating the DNC talking points and actually look at the situation.....we are living in precarious times and Obama's plans for this nation, including our efforts in Iraq, will only make things worse and do NOTHING to make the US safer....

MODERATOR'S NOTE :: ATTENTION PLEASE

Please cut personal attacks. Also, this thread is about how Obama talked about race; it's not about the Iraq war.

Thanks!

Actually, I would say the terrorists will come either way. If we stay or if we leave Iraq. But they most assuredly will come if we leave Iraq, and I am sure they will use us tucking tail and leaving as a victory on their part. We can not give them any sense of victory(them being the terrorists) when we do decide to leave Iraq, which in my opinion, is not going to happen even if Obama says it will when he is president.

Well are they innocent or not? Are they terrorists or not? Are they enemy combatants or not? Are they prisoners of war or not? And if so are we still at war? If so, it goes to say that we don't release the enemy captives until the war is over,or they will be right back fighting with us.
