That's unfortunate for him.

Actually, this is even more unfortunate:

"I don't have any beliefs or allegiances. I don't believe in this country, I don't believe in religion, or a god, and I don't believe in all these man-made institutional ideas," he told Reuters in a 2001 interview."

I pray that he accepted Jesus as his Savior prior to his death, or he'l be doing his act in a VERY warm climate.

He used to be funny, but lately his whole act was a long rant about everything that's wrong with America. Sad to say he died a bitter and angry man.

Sad to hear about this. Hopefully he was able to get right with God.

Honestly, I couldn't stand George Carlin. His outlandish hatred for religion, specifically Christianity, was incredibly distasteful. Much like his entire act.

However, no matter my personal feelings for him, I do hope he opened his eyes before they closed.

R.I.P.

He will always be a part of my memories as a teenager.

I thought he was a hoot.

Carlin was one of the all-time greats. His brand of political and social humor was sharp, witty, and often spot-on in timeliness. His ability to identify paradoxes and hypocracies in politics, social mannerisms, the entertainment industry, and religion were amazingly hilarious (even if they were disagreed with by some, or even seen as offensive).

He will be missed.

A couple things about death from his book Napalm And Silly Putty:

"You're all going to die. I hate to remind you, but it is on your schedule. It probably won't happen when you'd like; generally, it's an inconvenience."

"When I die I don't want to be buried, but I don't want to be cremated either. I want to be blown up. Put me on a pile of explosives and blow me up. Or throw my body from a helicopter. That would be fun. One stipulation: wherever I land, you have to leave me there. Even if it's the mayor's lawn. Just let me lie there. But keep the dogs away."
