Good morning, everyone . . . hope you all had a nice weekend. It's a balmy and beautiful 70 degrees here in the Ozarks -- I do love this spring weather we're finally getting!

I don't have Garrett again today -- probably will get him tomorrow. I heard that he welcomed his new baby sister home with lots & lots of kisses, tho [:D] . . . his daddy said he'd kiss her, then he'd touch her head real gently, then kiss her again and touch her head again . . what a cutie! [:D]

We had a good weekend . . my friend was here from Kansas City, and we actually had some visiting time along with the work we had to do to get her RV emptied. That was a chore! I took her back to the train station yesterday evening, then stopped at Walmart to do some shopping on the way home, which made me too late to go back to church last night and I really wanted to [:(]

I guess I'll go to gym here in a bit, then try to get some sewing done -- or the other way around. We'll see.

Thanks for starting us out this week Leah...Great Verse

Busy cleanning again. It's a never ending job around here. Well..I did take Sunday off. And the house showed it. Got the dishes done, and now I am vaccumeing the carpets. Had the repair man here again today. This time he worked on my washer. It has been leaking some for the past two weeks now. Found the leak and he has to call me on the price for the parts. I'm afraid to find out what that will cost me!
Have two little ones here now. Isabelle should be here soon. Then I was aske to watch my grandsone this afternoon. Guess Sarah (the daughter-in-law) has a job intreview. So it's gonna be a busy afternoon. I was gonna cut the grass in the front yard. But guess I can wait till all the kids leave, and do it after suppertime. It will be cooler than anyways.
Went to that wedding dance Sat night. I had a nice time afterall. Told hubby that I did'ent want to be left standing there by myself. He was pretty good about it. And I found a couple folks I knew to talk with.

Another beautiful, cool morning.

Garrett's daddy just called to say his grandma is keeping him this week to let the daddy & gf settle in with their new baby . . . I fully expected that, so it was no surprise. This means I have a week to catch up on my sewing. Right now I've started sweeping and mopping floors, so I'll finish that, do my Bible study then get right to the sewing room.

A whole week off...with PAY! That's awsome.
I have two little ones here this morning (my great neices)
And Isabelle will be here this afternoon.

Not sure what I'm gonna do today, besides watch these littls girls. I did get the front grass cut yesterday, and even got it all weeded, with my new weed eater. So that's all done.
I would love to work on them summer dresses, for the two older granddaughters, but I have'ent bought the fabric yet. Guess I could do that next week. I got the bill for repairing my fridge. That one cost me $114. Now I have an estimate on my washer...$144!! Lots of money to repair two things. But what am I gonna do? They have to be fixed. [sm=popsigh.gif]

Barb, I think picking out the fabric is the funnest part of a sewing project! Probably why we have so much unused fabric around here!

Swimming lessons again this week. My 4yo thought she needed to take her umbrella since it was raining a bit, but I told her she didn't need it since she'd be getting wet in the water anyway. My middle daughter is out of town with a friend today; her friend's mom had a meeting so the girls would watch the younger brothers while mom is at the meeting. Then they were going to go to some sort of a water park. Not a big one; I'm not sure what they'll have.

Hope you had a good day at the pool Dee. How is your little one liking her lessons?

Barb, do you rest at night or continue to do chores like you describe during the day?

The reason I ask is because after a full day of work then fixing supper when I get home I don't feel like jumping in and doing an evening of cleaning. Sometimes I'm downright tired. Although these last few weeks have been fair. Doing filing and catch up at work and it's restful. I've got some projects planned as soon as the filing is done which it almost is. There are a couple of hanging folders from when I first started that I need to go through. One is two inches thick. Got to see what all is in it. I like separating big files down into sections within them according to what each has.

I prefer subject filing and then subgrouping the subjects, alphabetizing the subjects. I do have yet to really go through my electronic data and organize it. And of course all these bunches and bunches of emails. I have folders in Outlook for Advisement emails, meeting emails, budget emails, etc. But haven't had time to take them all out of the main inbox yet to all the subgroups. I like planning things. Putting down details and then figuring out how I want to attack the tasks.

I agree with Leah, it has been wonderful weather. June has been refreshing. Leah, congrats on getting a week off WITH pay. Bet you'll miss the little tike.

Thanks Maggie and Leah for reminding me last night that God is in Control. Sometimes I need reminders.

Hi Ginny! . . . good to hear you're getting caught up on stuff at work, and you're very welcome for the reminder -- we all need those at times, don't we?

Well, my day again did not go as planned. I did get my Bible reading done, and part of my study. But my SIL called & asked if I wanted to go to a nearby greenhouse [sm=dance.gif] . .. . we've not gotten to do that together all year, so I just couldn't resist. And what a time to go! -- everything was half-price [sm=funny.gif][sm=funny.gif] . . . I got lots of beautiful plants to add to my gardens, including a few perrenials -- gorgeous grasses, a stunning delphinium that is like the one I lost 3 years ago --- soft blue/pink mix -- WoW! . . . also some purple salvia that reseeds itself even tho it's not considered a perrenia. l Also found the sweet potato plants I'd been wanting all season, some ornamental kale and some beautiful shade-loving coleus.

I planted out in the hot sun for 1½ hours after we got home . . Judi helped me so much by helping me decide where to put them all, and we just left them lay where we placed them, so I had to get back out right away and get them in the ground. Those decisions are the hardest part of planting for me, so that was a tremendous lot of help [:D]

I did manage to get my floors swept & mopped before I left this morning -- and worked up quite a sweat doing it [sm=icon_smile_dead.gif]. It's been a full day, and I'm too tired to fix supper tonight, so we are going to raid the fridge -- Bill says there is enough in there for a good meal, and whom am I to argue? [:D][:D]

When I was close to the end of my planting -- well, close to the end of what I was capable of planting today, my friend Betty phoned & asked me to come sit with her mother, who is also my friend, as she'd had a heart cath done this morning and Betty need to go pick up some meds for her but couldn't leave her alone. So I came in, showered & cleaned up then went over there for a while. It was a nice break, and a great visit.

Now I'm home, very tired, and getting hungry, so guess I'll go raid the fridge and see what I can find for us.

Leah....your greenhouse excursion sounds very productive...and no wonder you were too tired to fix supper after all that bending, digging, shopping, etc. Hope you had a nice visit babysitting with your friend. Leah, were are you reading in the Bible.

I am reading in Job. It is a bit beyond what I can understand but I am getting the top of it just feel there are depths I am not able to reach into yet.

Cassandra, how is your uncle? We've not heard anymore. Has he had his procedure?

Hey Ginny! Yes, the greenhouse excursion was quite fun, tho we were not babysitting . . Judi's granddaughter was actually shopping with us and helping us.

Today I read the book of Hosea . . . started reading it, and decided I was going to finish it. It's just where I am in my One Year Chronological Bible reading. Also attempted to do another lesson in the SS book I've started studying from. It was on Ruth. I just got started on that when Judi called, tho, so will finish it tomorrow.

Ginny, I'm reading in Ezekiel right now. I enjoy that book--except for the last part where a temple is described and I have yet to be able to picture it accurately in my head. Job can be hard.

I do remember that the description of the temple was beyond my grasp.

Oh well, God uses his Word in the depth I can handle. It's like a treasure chest. More treasure is revealed all the time as you delve into the chest.

Had a thought last night. There's a promise in the Bible that says the more you seek Him the more He will reveal His mysteries. And it reminded me that God doesn't think in human terms, he's God beyond our human reasonings. So the wisdom we get is from Him and beyond human terms. Or you could say God thoughts are not Man's thoughts.

Dee, thank you for the pillowcase link. I printed it out so now I have it. Gonna go look for fabric this week-end. Can't wait to get started on them. I miss sewing.

Leah, sounds like you found some pretty plants yesterday. I'm not done in my yard yet.My daughter loaned me her "Complete Book Of Garden Flowers" and I'm makeing a list [:D] I think them ornamental onion plants look really nice. Also like them Sage plants. My Cone Flowers are really takeing over my flower garden. Have to dig some of them out, and give them to the kids. Think the book says I can do that this fall sometime.

Someone asked if I rest at night...or clean all night long. Well let me answer that. Yes...after all the kids leave around 5PM, I usually hang it up, and rest. Altho sometimes I wait till the kids go home..then do stuff I can't do when they are here. But I do get tuckered out and stop. LOL
Today I have no plans to do much of anything. Just make the bed up, and wash the floors. Otherwise the house looks pretty good. Have to wait to do the laundry until that part comes in, and the repair man fixes it. Then I will be doing laundry all day. Also have the supper dishes, from last night, to wash up. I usually leave them till the next day anyways.
Yesterday me and my daughter went to thrift shops looking for a sofa for her. She will be moveing out this Aug. 1st and is need of one. Between her and the roommates they have enough chairs to go around. She did'ent find a sofa she liked tho. Then we went into the Jewerly Store. I ordered some earings for me, and she looked at rings. Guess her and her boyfriend are talking about getting married next year. She wanted a pearl stone insted of a diamond. But they told her a pearl is a very soft stone, and should'ent be worn everyday. So I'm not sure what they are gonna look at now. She said she just could'ent see her boyfriend spending alot of money on a ring. [sm=popsigh.gif]
I thought every women wanted a diamond ring when they got engaged?

Hosea is one of the minor prophets. God told him to marry a prostitute so he did. She didn't give up her ways and bore three children that were not his. And yet Hosea kept bringing her back to him and loving her. It is a huge object lesson about God's love for his people who kept leaving him for other gods and other security.

Ezekiel is a really cool book. For one, there's an awesome view into heaven near the beginning and then Ezekiel is told to do some very fantastic (unbelievable not "wonderful") things. There's a vision or dream where two men are sent out into Jerusalem--one to mark all those still faithful to God and one to go behind and kill everyone without the mark. This is the book where a river is seen to be flowing from God's throne and the further the river travels, the deeper it becomes. And the temple described in Ezekiel is a temple that never was built. It is neither the tabernacle that Moses built nor the temple that Solomon built. Oh! This is also the book where the multitude of dry bones filling a valley come to life at Ezekiel's command. It's a cool book.

Well thank you for the diamond info. I never knew that.
My Katie is'ent a traditional gal..she does the opposite. Does'ent want a church wedding either. want's to be married outside. I think she will get a white dress, but a very plain white dress. Nothing fancy. Hope she will allow her father to at least walk her through the tree's [:D]

That's because it's the Third Temple, the one that will signal the beginning of the end times.Joel Rosenberg has written five amazing novels based on the prophecies in Daniel and Ezekiel, and in them you get a pretty good lesson on those prophecies.

Bill, I'll have to look for his books. Are the five a series or each independent of the other? Do you know any of the titles off hand?

I've actually thought of going online to see if anyone has drawn what Ezekiel's temple looked like but I always remember late at night when I've already logged off for the night. Maybe I should do it now.

Barb, I know a young woman who held her wedding on an empty field. The reception was potluck and was BEFORE the actual ceremony. Alas, I couldn't go and the marriage didn't last but I think it's the earthiest wedding I've ever been invited to. (Her sister did the very opposite with fancy gown, attendants, church, the whole bit.)

I talked my oldest daughter into haveing a "pot luck" dinner at her wedding. It went wonderful. I'm thinking Katie will do that also.
Also her boyfriend does'ent want to wear the dress shoes. She was talking about getting black tennie's for all the guys. Them Keds or Neds or whatever they are called. She was also thinking (out loud) about the girls getting them in a green color. Well at least they are wearing shoes!!!
