Please use this thread to stalk, encourage, pray for and cajole those expectant mothers whose babies' births are imminent.

Please do not start threads for individuals unless it is in the Personally For You folder.

This thread will be restarted monthly, so it should not get too long

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

ETA by Kath:
Ladies, just to clarify, this thread is not intended to be a duplicate of the pregnancy thread. Please use that thread to update us on your pregnancy issues.

This thread is more for if you are all but getting ready to walk out the door to have your baby so we are alerted, and as Janine has posted, to let us know the baby has arrived so we can offer our congratulations.

Okay...so who do we have on board now?

Sarah (peculiar_lady2) will be going in tomorrow at 8 pm for an induction either then or on Wednesday...

Stephanie (waiting2becalled) is in right now...high blood pressure...probably induction on or before Wednesday

Brandy....has been stalling out...but still contracting...hoping things will get moving shortly.

Jessica (pauls bride) had cervix stitch removed on the 17th...due on the 7th of July...but most likely will deliver before then.

I can't think of anyone else who is due this month that hasn't already given birth.

Those who have given birth are:
Kim (Royal.Fortress) to Gwen on the 12
Emily (EmilyAnn) to David on the 13
Kristin (kpenn05) to Pierce Michael on the 16
Krista (contentnwhatever) to Madisyn on the 16

Um...anyone else lately? I'm becoming so forgetful and I don't even have pregnant brain...

Yolanda, I believe Janine is Brandy's contact. Last we heard they were going in to have things checked (most likely) as there wasn't progress. Brandy and her dh (Jeremy?) weren't taking phone calls though (at least not at the moment). That was yesterday evening, so I pray something is going on by now.

They were all deleted. I don't know if there is a way to get them back or not. Kristin did post about the birth in the pregnancy thread though!!!! Hope that takes you to the right post/page, Kim.

It just got posted this AM, she kinda popped in on us. Here is her post in the Pregnancy Thread...
quote:

Posting really really blind....

I or should I say WE are finally out of the hospital. The day after I was taken off of bed rest, I delievered Pierce Michael. He was born on June 16th at 4:54am after only 4 hours of labor. I have been truly blessed. He weighed in at 7lbs 14oz and now is down to just below 7. He had jaundice really bad so we had to stay in the hospital an extra day and a half...which let me tell you, I would be happy to never set foot in another hospital. He was 20 1/4 inches long.

He is a perfect baby. Latched on great from the begining, never cries unless hungry or taking to long changing him. He is just perfect. I am so sad to watch him grow up...

Sorry its been so long for a post, we could never get the internet to work at the hospital and then hubby needed the lap top for church, so we just quit trying.

I will try to be back on later...but life is now completely different and I have to adjust here at home. Plust the in laws have arrived.

I hope everyone else is well, and having wonderful pregnancy's. I hate to say it but I can't wait to be pregnant again. But right now I want to enjoy every second with my baby boy.

Hey ladies. I'm Brandy's contact. At this moment, she isn't taking phone calls and neither has she called. I can only assume that means she's still waiting for her contractions to kick in full force. Last time we talked she sounded really tired, but very upbeat and positive.

I promise I'll post something as soon as I hear anything! I don't want to call and ask since she made it clear in her thread that they aren't taking calls. I'm going to just assume that means she'll call me when it's time.

last I saw on each expectant momma (about to give birth, or just did):

waiting 2be_called: (Stephanie) She is being sent home on bedrest, and the plan is to induce on Wednesday.

K_penn: (Kristin):well... Erin sweetly just copied what Kristin wrote in the pregnancy thread, so there ya go.

Peculiar_lady (Sarah) is going to the hospital Tuesday night around 8 for the start of induction.

Brandy: Says they are "hibernating" and just waiting. She has a call in to the midwife, and they are considering just going in to "get things over with. "

I know there are others probably, but those are the ones that I read this morning.

Brandy- Praying things get moving quickly. Hang in there!!!

Sarah- Praying for your induction tomorrow! Will it drive you crazy to have to be home all day first?

Stephanie- I'm not sure on the exact updates, but from what's in here you're having BP issues and on bedrest. That baby will be coming soon!

Wow...after a long day in the hospital this is a shock...and I don't even know if this is the right place to post...

At my appt. this morning my dr checked my BP and it was 154 over 97. I told him it was a stressful drive in to the appt. (there were two traffic accidents blocking the highways there...) so he had me wait and checked me again after 30 minutes. At that point he didn't tell me what it was but said it wasn't "much better" and called L&D at the hospital (across the road) to schedule blood work. He also had me sign induction papers before leaving, saying that we would induce Wednesday if not before.

At the hospital all of my test results came back negative and my BP lowered as soon as I put my feet up and began to relax. It's still pretty high (high 140s over mid 90s) but I have been put on bed rest. The hospital is supposed to call me Wednesday morning to tell me when to come in to be induced.

I don't know if I should have posted this here or in the pregnancy thread...I don't know how to divide my information now...

I have been feeling a little sluggish, and very nervous (I have repacked my hospital bag twice since coming home...does that count as bed rest ?). Apparently the nausea I have been feeling is a symptom of the high blood pressure. My swelling is still pretty bad, but I've kept my legs elevated above my heart (for the most part).

Steph,

I am praying for you. I had high blood pressure right near the end of my pregnancy too (the first one) and was put on bed rest. Bed rest means bed rest - so please please do rest, and properly.

Me, too, and I agree, rest! I'll say a prayer!

Stephanie, praying for the safety of you and your babe, and wisdom for the medical staff. I agree with the others urging complete bed rest.

Kristin, I'm so glad your little one is safely here now! I'm sure you are too, and I hope everything settles quickly for you.

Praying Brandy is holding her little girl now, and if not, for God's strength to sustain her.

Praying for Sarah as she must be mentally preparing now for her induction later.

Praying for Jess and Paul. Glad to hear Paul is feeling a bit better, and that little brother decided to stay put so Daddy could get feeling better!

Sarah, I'm thinking about you today!!!

Steph - I wrote a post, but apparently it got deleted, so I'll encourage you again - bed rest is absolutely the best thing for your baby and yourself. Are you prepared for an induction? Are you okay with the idea of one?

I really don't know. It all came about so fast. My doctor explained it to me over the phone, and I've been reading about it, but I don't know how truly "prepared" I am. Quite honestly, I'm scared. I am okay with the idea of being induced on any moral and spiritual grounds, but I don't know what to even think about it from any other perspective. I am completely open to advice if anyone has any to share.

Well, in your situation, I do think that an induction is likely best if your BP is that high, you're nauseous and you've got significant swelling. My only advice would be to not accept cytotec as an inducing agent.

I agree.

For some women, it is truly safer to go through an induction and get the baby out, and the sooner the induction is started once a problem is discovered, the lower the likelihood of a c-section, logically. In those cases, medical intervention is NOT a bad thing.

Praying for you, Stephanie. Even if it's not the labor you had hoped for, I pray that you and baby will both be healthy at the end of it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah, today's the day! Well...kinda. I'm sure you won't have the baby until tomorrow. I can't wait to get the phone call...and remember that you can call any time of the night. I'll try to remember to bring a pen and paper up to bed with me, just in case.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I really wish we would hear from Brandy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jess...how goes it?
