We got the call last night that I had been anticipating. Dad said with a shakey voice that mom had stopped breathing and the paramedics were trying to revive her.
She had a pace maker and mid stages of alzheimers. She just turned 73 last week and mom and dad had 53 years of marriage.
Dad was the care taker and now he is facing life without her and she was his only reason for living.
Mom loved the Lord and her suffering is over but now my focus is on my dad finding peace, rest, and a new meaning instead of feeling alone and no reason for living.

Lord I pray you will be with walker and his family
Comfort and hold them Lord as they say their goodbyes to their mother and grandmother.
Lord I pray you will help them with all the things that have to be taken care of.
Provide for them Lord and give them guidence and direction.
Lord I pray you will help Walkers Father in a specail way to go forward with you.
Help him Lord through your strength and carry him through the hardest times.
Lord I pray that you would bless Walker and his children with peace and help them according to their needs
Be with this family Lord and shower your love and grace upon them.
Thank you Lord for being in their midst and helping them in every possible way.
Thank You Lord

God bless and comfort; you, your dad, the family and all her acquaintances, who'll miss this loving servant of God. I'll be praying for you all.
Although we know that this life must come to an end, we are never willing to give up our lovedones. But because we know we can trust God in ALL things; then we know also, that we can rely on Him, to carry us through our most difficult times. Remind your dear dad (as well as yourself), to lean on the Lord and trust Him to carry you through this. You mentioned that he'd feel that he had no reason for living now. Tell him that you are a really good reason that he should want to live. Let him know that you need him in your life. Now, more than ever before! Remind him too that, God created us for His glory, and until our time is fulfilled on this earth; we are to glorify the wonderful Creator! Praise Him, for bringing this precious woman into your lives for 73 years of untold joy! For 53 years of faithfulness to her loving husband! And for sharing her love of God with her children, family and friends! And continue to remind yourself that this is NOT the end. The next time you see her; you'll NEVER have to say goodbye again!

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing away. I know the pain of losing a mother. But as you said she loved the Lord, so you know her suffering is at an end. I'll be praying for you.

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing..My heart goes out to you, your family and your dad. It is wonderful to know how much she loved the Lord and she is now with him in his beautiful kingdom...I pray for God to comfort your family and that he brings peace over you and your dad...

Walker, I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm also praising the Lord that you have the comfort of knowing she is in the Lord's loving arms.
Father, please comfort Walker's dad as only You can and give him new purpose. Comfort Walker and the rest of the family also. Help them to hod close to You and each other during this time. In Jesus name. Amen

I was pulling up to their house this morning and the church across the street had her name on their sign.
"Mom's Name... A life well lived. See ya soon!"
I teared up and thought how very true. What a great life! What a great marriage!
I am overwhelmed with the folks who have shown such encouragement and support. There are still some very fine and sincere people in this world.

Thank you for this Godly woman
who raised her son to know and love you;
Praise You for such mothers and for their lives of dedication to You
Praise You for the impact their lives have on so many and will continue to have;
May You continue to raise up such women and mother's in the Faith;

Be with Walker and his dad and family today
Help Walker as he comforts his elderly dad
May You continue to comfort them all with Your Holy Spirit
You know the emptiness in Walker's dad's heart at this time
Please have mercy and fill this soul's empty void with Your great love and peace
that he too may know the same hope which upheld his wife for so many years
