Or close to it? Just moved here and need a dentist, vet, medical and any other info anyone would be willing to provide/suggest. Thanks so much.

Hi Tea, I am from Boston and been through Westerly via train, however that probably doesn't help you much at all though.

Mike

That's ok. At least I got one reply out of 30 views! And a drive thru is better than nothing. It is really difficult moving to a totally new area and not know anyone or where to even start. Thanks.

What about Providence? Hey, isn't Westerly right by Mystic Connecticut as well?

Yes it is. We stayed in Mystic when we drove up looking for a home to rent. It appears to be a small, quaint town. Touristy. Actually Westerly looks touristy as well.

Hi,
I just saw your post & I would like to help. I live here in Westerly and can maybe of some assistance. To find doctors: call The Westerly Hospital. They have a referral line for doctors.

For a vet: Try Turco Animal Hospital. Dr. Turco is really great. But only ask for him. I've had problems with some of the other doctors on the staff. Another good practice is Pawcatuck Veterinary Clinic, just into CT. He did a wonderful job with my cat I had just got from the pound. (It was an emergency visit.) I'm thinking about switching over there.

For a dentist: Mine just retired and I loved him!!!! I've been asking around myself and a lot of people recomend Arrowhead Dental in Charlestown, RI.

For auto repair: Go to Engine-New-Ity and owner William Tell. He is wonderful and honest. Something you don't find with too many mechanics!

Hopefully, that has helped. Let me know if you want anymore info.

PS Get a state beach pass. It's not only good for Misquamicut State beach, but all the other state beaches and parks in RI. You've got to explore all the beaches... you're in the Ocean State now! [:)]
