Santa, Have you got everybody settled in those cabins for the weekend or do you expect a lot more to check in this afternoon?

LOVEEEEEE sweet tea...now my sodas are sugar free...Diet Pepsi!
You probably don't want to know my opinion on "sugar-free" sodas and other type "sugar-free" drinks.

Bobby, we have several checkins today at both locations. But I am working reservations today. So go tell all your friends to call me.

I did have a Sprite the other day (NOT sugar-free).

I think I have a soda about 3 times a year.

But if I drink cold tea, it will be with no sugar or any other kind of sweetener added (nor will it have iced added, but it will be chilled and cold) . . . But I drink non-hot tea even less than I drink soda.

I figure the Lord must have had a reason for putting sugar cane here on this earth. I know no other purpose for it other than to sweeten things. I know we have refined it to make it white, but what have we done to milk. They cook milk before they let us drink it. You can't find raw milk anymore unless you own your own cow.
Everything has a purpose. So don't take away the sugar.

After staying up 3/4 of the night last night, I think my Get up & go has gotten up & gone. If anyone see is around, please, send it back to me. I need & want it.

I hope it is not out running around with Lynn's. I may get in trouble if it is.

I don't drink milk neither.

I won't take away the sugar . . . but white sugar corn syrup and all the other stuff they use in so many things really are very harmful to a person's body.

I use raw sugar and/or raw honey and/or black strap molasses for all my "sugar" purposes . . . and even then, I don't use those very often.
Although I do use a tablespoon of black strap molasses in my smoothies - because of the iron content.

Yep. As he was directing the tv audience, he always kept his hands low. It looked like he was scratching his stomach.

BTW. The weather here today is cloudy and cool.

It's 88* here and probably will be scattered thunder showers this afternoon. They are predicting them for the next week. Muggy out side.

As you may have noticed I have posted several times so far this afternoon. That means my phones are not ringing in reservations. People are either already on vacation are out and about for picnics etc.

My widget tells me that it's 81* here with expected thunder storms.

I haven't been outside, but I know that yesterday was certainly muggy; so I imagine today is as well.

I'm staying in my house till tomorrow afternoon . . . waiting for the town to clear out somewhat.

SM, you mean there are people in our little town. Wow!

Maybe that is why I have no desire to get on the parkway this weekend. Traffic was backing up yesterday way past Tony's BBQ. So got on a back road as soon as I could after leaving Tony's.

Well...the storm has passed by...no hail on our side but plenty of lightening, rain, & thunder! Whew!!!

On my way back out the door to go to the post office to drop off those pictures I promised to mail out today. The post person had already ran when I got back a little while ago...now if I was waiting on something it would be almost 6pm before they delivered my mail!!!!

Be back later....

We just ate some left over mac & cheese and shrimp. Next move will be to go to Krispy Kreme for a donut and coffee. Mailperson seems to have eaten my birthday cake as I didn't get one in the mail.

It's been a great day.....catch y'all later this evening.
