Well, here we go again. Bobby will be surprised when he wakes up in the morning.

Kerrlaw -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/23/2008 11:44:24 PM)

We don't want to go confusing Bobby.

He can deliver the mail, the meat, or the music.

Someone should send him a PM so that he can find everyone. We don't want him to miss everyone.

I hope he appreciates the name chosen. was suggested revolution, but I think we need something Church related. and we all need revival in our lives. no matter how strong the walk we have. tonight have been sitting here just crying loving the way God is in my room as I listen to this song. ac going and so warm, calm and peaceful.

with all have had and all have been through, nothing compares to what's in front of me.

TQ_Fan_4_Life -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/23/2008 11:52:41 PM)

this song has me feeling some revival in this poor old country boy's life tonight.

Mountain Of God

zmanfan38 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 12:16:09 AM)

Joey, the song our worship choir does (with the trumpet solo) is God of Wonders. It just now came to my memory. Wish you could hear it...it's glory bump time! The church is totally quiet, the guy with the trumpet steps up to a microphone and starts playing his solo, the rest of the band and orchestra comes in and then our 250ish voice choir sings...glory!!!

Good stuff.

Okay, I'm off to bed. Catch you all tomorrow.

TQ_Fan_4_Life -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 12:19:57 AM)

one of the best Third Day does Christi. would love to hear it.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 1:17:55 AM)

Hey Joey. Thanks for the phone call. I did get about 2 1/2 hours sleep before coming to work. Hopefully will be able to stay awake all night.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 2:13:58 AM)

The avatar is a picture a friend took. He and his wife live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I have found several beautiful photos on his website I will use for avatars as the days go along. Some taken from his backyard. Beautiful.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 2:17:22 AM)

I missed my anniversary date for posting in the forums. It was June 13, 2006. But I only made a handful of posts until sometime early in 2007.

ETA: Just went back and checked. I really got into posting on Feb. 19, 2007 in Tony Gore's Smoky Mtn. BBQ and Grill thread. That was at the bottom of page 2.

robertyork -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 6:14:16 AM)

Good Morning everyone. Some of you are in trouble.......You ran the old thread over 100 pages.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 6:29:10 AM)

Good morning Bobby. Glad you made a post over in the other thread. That means you are in just as much trouble as the rest of us. [:D]

noblesinger -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 8:25:14 AM)

Santa,

Now I know where your office is at. My wife and I ate at Applewood's one evening when we were in PF. My tastebuds still water everytime I think about the food there! And I still grin when I remember how my wife and her 2 half-sisters (without hearing what the others were saying) each ordered vegetable soup as their appetizer. Talk about "Twilight Zone" time!

Hope you get some rest before going back out to work, Santa!

Duane

zmanfan38 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 8:37:50 AM)

Duane,

There are a few of us that are going to meet at Applewood for brunch this Sunday before heading home from our vacation. I haven't been there in many years...can't wait!

Good morning, all!

My appt is just a yearly check. Hubby is seeing a cardiologist for the first time. His cholesterol is up a little and since he is diabetic, the primary doc just wanted a consultation.

What we thought was going to be just a standard consultation turned out to be very different. Hubby did not do well on the cardiac stress test and will have to have a cardiac cath done next week. He also found out that he has a murmur and will have a sonogram tomorrow.

I sure am glad the Lord is in control 'cause I/we don't feel very much in control right now!

ORIGINAL: zmanfan38

Donna, sorry to hear that. We will be praying that this is a very minor thing.

Looking forward to giving you a (((Donna))) in person this weekend.

How's hubby feeling about what you learned today?

Hubby is BIG on the denial side! But he's not very happy about it. He says he feels too good to have something wrong. (Dr. told him that 75% of the people who have undiscovered blockages just drop dead with NO warning, no symptoms.) There's also a job situation going on that I have not mentioned, so he's real concerned about keeping his job long enough for insurance to pay all the expenses. I told him not to worry, that even if he loses his job, we'll be able to keep the health insurance under COBRA.

And, as I told Dinana this morning, I won't be able to collect your hug, because I'm not going to be coming to PF this weekend. No way am I going to leave town until after the procedure! Y'all will just have to plan another get-together real soon!

Most definitely!

Backyard photos . . . that's another thing that's so amazing. There are so many wonderful backyard (and front yard) views around here. The other day, I realized that the vast majority of places I have lived (or visited) here in Jackson, the views have been beyond magnificent. I can only think of two places (one a studio and the other a condo) where I have lived here that I didn't have an immediate view of The Tetons or of some wonderful nature; but even with them, I only had to walk a couple of minutes to rectify that.

Santa, do you know the "where" of your current avatar? I'm thinking it's from the new visitor center in Moose, WY in GTNP (Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center). A couple of my friends and I went there 2 Sundays ago after homechurch. They opened last August, but this year was the first time I've gone.

Good Morning y'all.

{{{Donna}}} - I will be praying for you and your hubby.

zmanfan38 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonna-Be's Palavering for a REVIVAL Revolution (6/24/2008 8:45:45 AM)

Wow, Donna. I'll pray specifically for that job situation also.

Okay, after your hubby is healed and life is back to normal, we'll plan another get together. How's that?[:)]

Thanks for the prayers, everyone! I'll mention it again on the morning of the procedure.

Tell hubby that at least they found something wrong not like what I had happen where they kept telling me that nothing was showing-up on the tests. They only did the heart-cath to finish rulling out that there was no problems. We all know what happened with that, but if they had not done it, I would be with my Heavenly Father by now. Not that that would be bad, in fact it would be very good, but I don't think God is ready for me just yet or I would not be here. It is good to know & if there should be a problem the doctors can do so much better than they used to be. I now feel good & have a good life. Thank you Lord. I plan on living many more years just to get even with all of the people that I want to get even with.
