ORIGINAL: GrapeApe This thought was inspired by 'The Ultimate Sacrifice' thread, in which it asked if you would be willingly to die for another. That isn't the question I'm getting to, though. Everyone has had serious nightmares. Nightmares that cause such a reaction that you find yourself in a pool of sweat, brushing off the division between reality and nocturnal imaginings. Have you ever woke up during these moments and thought, "what if this was real?" - I certainly have, and usually leaves me horrified with the "what if...." lingering in the back of my mind. What is the worst imaginable nightmare come true scenario for you? Instead of waking up to just a nightmare, it's a reality. This thread might help us recognize what all we have to be grateful for, instead of going about everyday like nothing is ever going to happen. We take everything we have for granted and assume reality never changes. Greetings, quote:
What is the worst imaginable nightmare come true scenario for you? Instead of waking up to just a nightmare, it's a reality. Actually I haven’t had a nightmare in over 3 years, I began to use a Jewish principal in prayer, which is said before going to bed Saying: I thank you Lord for your presence, and knowing while I sleep that when I awake I will still be in your presence. (I modified it so that it covers both bases; in case I die in my sleep) and it eliminated every form of nightmare, But on the other hand there have been many tempting dreams, which come far and in-between; and as I noticed they occurred only when I forget to say the prayer......some I won and some I lost..... Depending on what level of sleep I was in, …….But they never carried over into reality, However, now that I have noticed that truth of when they come to pass; because I forgot to speak the prayer….then I definitely ask for forgiveness!
