I have one of those organizers with the pouches that hangs on the inside of the closet door. I don't really care for it, but it's the best I can do with the tiny closet I share with my kids. I put my winter shoes (boots, etc.) away in storage for the summer and my flip flops and open-toed heels, etc. go in storage for the winter. [:)] I used to keep all my shoes out all year long because we had a monster-huge walk-in closet in our old house with lots of beautiful, wonderful shelves. I miss that closet. [:(][:(]

I have a shoe closet [:D] It's the closet in the extra bedroom that is my computer room/study. I have four of these hanging side by side. Each cubby holds a pair. Boots don't fit, so they are on the floor beneath the bags.

I keep my shoes in a cardboard box in my closet. My husband's are lined up against the back wall of the closet. I also have some plastic stacked shelves where I keep shoes that I never, ever wear but am convinced that I will need the day after I get rid of them [:D]

I have an over the closet door shoe organizer and love it.Before I had it my shoes would just get tossed to and fro in my closet so having them all in one place is wonderful.

Well, I was trying to keep them in a basket my the door, but that hasn't been happening much lately. So right now they are in two piles... one by the dining room table and one under the "breakfast nook."

Last year I got some clear plastic shoe boxes from the dollar store and have mine stacked inside my closet.

I keep whatever I wear most on top, but I can look through the stack pretty quick.

I really like the boxes.

Hmmm....a basket in the closet sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll try that.I have way too many pairs of shoes. Especially,sandals.

I really like the boxes.

I'm thinking about going back to clear boxes too, especially for the off-season shoes. I did that before and liked how clean the ones I wasn't currently wearing stayed. They tend to get dusty over the months of not being worn. I do like the convenience of the cubbies for everyday shoes, but would like to keep the off seasons and lesser worn ones put away better. I'll have to check the dollar store and see if I can find some more. I think I gave my last ones away when I converted my closet. [&o]

I don't do well with the free for all tossing in the closet floor or baskets. It annoys me to have to search for mates and dig through piles. Plus with nicer shoes, they can get ruined if they are flattened or marred by the bottoms of other shoes.

We keep the most often worn ones in a basket in the coat closet, usually just sneakers, gym shoes, and my driving mocs. All the other ones(especially nice ones) go in organizers in the closet.

I have a shoe tree. My boots go in a box beside it (on top of my shoe cleaning box).

I keep my shoes in a basket in my closet and on a shelf in the kitchen. Sometimes they are all over the house, but when they are in their place, they on in the basket or on the shelf. :)

Same here...'cept we don't have a coat closet...we have a lower shelf on the entry table [:D]
