No, I haven't emailed him. I'm a little scared.

I thought of sending him like a smile or something but then I thought that might just be "friendly" and not get the point across....

Sunshine, if this is something you really feel in your heart you wanna do, than go for it! There's no harm in sending a friendly "been thinking of you and wondering how you're doing!"

Well, I have an update:

I finally sent the email, after the gentle encouragement of a couple of my dearest friends.

He wrote me back, asking me all sorts of questions about the quartet, how we're doing, and he remembered lots of details. Anyway, we'll see where it goes.

Just thought I'd let y'all know.

Thanks, Broyce! Yes, it was hard, but I'm glad I did it now! It took him a few days to respond, so I was nervous it had just been a bad idea.

I'm proud of you! It's hard to do something like that, isn't it? BUT. The best thing of all is, you took a little risk, and you see that you lived through it. What if that was his only purpose for being in your life, to teach you that? If so--then the relationship can now officially be declared a success! WOO-HOO! You have now had a "succesful relationship!"

(OK...well, yeah...that might be a stretch for some people's definition...but you get my point?)

Excellent! You have a a great attitude, and sounds like he does, too. Just toss it out and see what happens. God can bless us in all kinds of ways when we stop insisting it be our way.
