Hmmm...in my experience it seems that there is a lot of room for speculation in the "nice" category. Some guys are really, really nice. So nice that they have no backbone. Sorry, but I need a guy who can stand up to the world for me, stand up to Satan for me, and stand up even to ME sometimes. Backbone is necessary.
Oh, perfectly said! That's what I tried to say in my other post, but this was put down so much better. Any men out there like this? ((( smiling really big right now )))

It is. And in some instances it is true.

Since I can't say what's true for others, but only for me: just try to treat me bad. You'll find out I don't put up with it. God made me a marvelous person, doesn't intend for me to be treated like that by another Christian (the only type of guy I would ever date) and I won't have it. It'll be for the good of both of us when I toss you and your shoes out on the street.


Girl, you are TOO funny! love your strength. I've just started on here in the Crosswalk forums, and you and PrairieHiker stick out so far. I've been readin' mostly, but I can't help but comment on this one!! Shoo-wee!! :)

Although I haven't arrived, of course, I have grown up in many ways as to who ultimately attracts me and who doesn't.

Ouch. I felt a little bit of that nip me on the behind. I know I have tendencies to want to make a "bad guy" nicer, so to speak,to "fix" him. Like in my previous post, quoting another poster, I do tend toward the "diamond in the rough" types, but guys HATE to be mommy-ed and/or pushed into molds.

Sometimes it hurts to hear hard truth. And that was right-on-out-with-it truth.

I love truth like that....just plain, honest, get-down-to-it truth. Another one that is along the lines of this sentiment is:

Oh, yeah. Now, THERE'S some good truth.

BTW, I know I've been gettin' a little off of the original post, but some of this discussion is REALLY good. I can't help myself.
