I somehow managed it. People always ask me how I caught such a wonderful man and I have to shrug and say it is a God thing. Neither of us were Christians and we met at a party when he was still in the army. He is such an honorable man. If anyone needs a hand he is there, he keeps peoples confidence when they tell him something they do want spread around. He is an awesome daddy who loves spending time with his family. I was in Sunday School last Sunday. The teacher was talking about a girl who did not have enough clothes on and her woo hoo was showing. She was talking how jealous about this girl so she was watching her husband out of the corner of her eye to see if he was looking. I then realized that my husband has never looked at a passing girl . The most I have ever seen him do is shake his head and say if our daughter ever wore something like that I would take her by the ear to her room and pick her out some decent clothes. Everyone tells me that what I have is very rare. I started to wonder how many other have awesome marriages.

ME! ME! ME!

My husband is the sensitive caring type, and he seems to live for the happiness of his family. He is an amazing father and he takes excellent care of me. If there is something that seems worthwhile to do, he is right on top of it. He is extraordinarily intelligent and his work ethic is top-notch.

He's never had a wandering eye (He notices occasionally what other women are wearing, if he thinks it is nice, and comments that I might want to get something like that.)

Sometimes he pushes himself too hard, or gets too much on his plate. Occasionally he can feel defensive or hesitant, particularly if he is under stress -- so he needs my support and also guidance from time to time.

We communicate well and make an excellent team, and are mostly blissfully happy.

Our marriage isn't perfect, and we've had some pretty tough challenges, but I am married to the kindest of men and we keep working at our relationship. We each have deficiencies (no details, so don't ask [:D]) but we continue to trust God to heal us and we each are the other's best friend and cheerleader. Thank God for what He is doing in our lives!

I married very late because I would have rathered be single than unhappily married to the wrong guy, and I think God had a lot to teach both of us before turning us loose on each other. Now our kid leaves for college next month, and we will be alone together for the first time since our first year of marriage.

More shaping and growing coming! I will trust God for it all, and we'll see if we aren't soon "dating" again. [:)]

From the way Karlie posts, she sure sounds like she has a wonderful husband. But I will let her speak the details for herself. Hopefully, she won't mind this little bit that I did say.

Oh, yeah, and laughing_girl, she has a great husband, it seems.

I certainly found a wonderful person! He's not perfect, but he's perfect for ME. He has treated me like a queen since the first day we met. He has a strong relationship with his parents and with God, and from the first days we were together, this made me fall in love with him. Sure, he's got A.D.D. so he forgets things often, and his medication (Adderall) sometimes gives him a short temper, but that's honestly the extent of his major flaws. He has always given me his utmost respect, has taken care of me since day 1, even when he didn't have to (I had surgery 3 months after we met and he made sure he was prepared to take care of me after surgery, and a month after we met my mother had thrown me out of her house and he took me in)... he is handsome, he is kind, he is successful in EVERYTHING that he puts his mind to...he is honest, loving, caring, he loves me for ME and all of my flaws, he is SO smart... there is so much I could gush about him... I personally believe I am the luckiest woman on this planet for finding the man who helps me strive to be the best person I can possibly be.

Me! We have our moments, and he has his faults (and so do I!) but I consider myself extremely blessed to be his wife!

I do!!!

We had a rough first year of marriage, truly learning about each other and how to live together, but at no point did we ever stop believing that we are meant to be together. He has truly amazed me in the way that he has become more sensitive to me. He is an INCREDIBLE father (and he didn't have a good father example growing up) and his commitment to our family is beautiful.

Oh I know what you mean by the lack of an example. I am shocked that my husband grew up to be such an honest hard working man. His dad was never home since his job required a lot of travel. When he was home they let the kids do whatever they wanted. His parents never asked where he was going or who he was with and they lived in LA! My husband is the opposite of all that. His joy is spending time with us and we do not let Jack just run off with people not knowing where he will be or what he is doing.
Oh and the work ethich. Oh my gosh, when he started his new job a little over a year ago. It was nights but he assured me that he would not be on nights long. He told me the truth. 3 weeks after starting his manager needed surgery so other store managers were taking care of the night crew. One of them was a zone manager which is a manager of managers and he told my husband that he was the type of people they look for in managment and to apply for the team leader postition which is an assistant manager. He just kind of laughed it off until the RH manager came in took him by the shoulder and put him in front of the computer and told him to put in for it. When he pointed out how short of a time he was there the guy told him dont worry about that I will take care of it. He got it and in fact a few months later his manager moved and they put him in the managers spot. It is all about work ethic.

Add me to the pile. My Dh is amazing. He's a much better person than I am, a much better husband than I am a wife, and an all around wonderful man. He's smart and funny and very caring. His friends adore him, my family likes him more than they like me[8D]. I think my mom secretly wishes he were her son instead of me being her daughter.

another great thing about him is the fact that the way he is at home with me is the same way that he is in public. He is always himself and he never tries (or even has) to put on a show of any kind. Everyone who meets him likes him instantly. I honestly can't even explain how we are together except by the divine intervention by God. He loves me and dotes on me, and in general treats me as if I were the only woman on the planet. I will often catch him just staring at me because he likes to look at me. If we are channel surfing and I give him the remote and tell him to watch whatever he wants to watch, he'll just look at me and say "i'm watching it now". he's soo cute that way.

he's also extremely handy with tools and appliances. He can fix anything and I do mean anything. He reads instruction manuals just for fun. When we purchase a new piece of electronics, I have to stipulate that we have to have it at least 6 months before he takes it apart. He loves to see how things work, and he's very curious.


More than that, he's a very Godly man. He genuinely loves people and he's very kind hearted. I am NOT that way at all. I generally dislike pretty much everyone (i know, not very Christlike, but i'm working on it). He will go out of his way to help you if you need it, give you the shirt off of his back to keep you warm and fix your shower so that it has ample water pressure. I really don't know why I have been so blessed. I could never in a million years have thought that the man I would marry would be as wonderful as my hubby is.

He's my high school sweetheart. He is and always has been such an honest and honorable man. I knew I needed to marry him because I knew he would always be faithful and true to me and his family. He is godly and loving, strong and funny, just and forgiving, and responsible yet totally goofy . . . . . [sm=heart.gif]

Not to mention handsome.

I do have an amazing husband. He is the most caring, steadfast man I have ever known and a very involved and loving father. He's funny, sensitive, has a very strong sense of right and wrong, he is dedicated to our family and marriage, and best of all, sold out for God. When I went back to school, he became my hugest support and cheerleader and willingly jumped in to help more at home so I can do that. He picks up on my stress levels and moods and is always the first one to decide we need a night out, or we need to go for a drive and coffee. He is truly my best friend and has never failed to make me feel loved and treasured. Oh, and he has amazing blue eyes [:D] We've been married 27 years and I still adore him.

Elastic, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!! My family loves me, but seriously if he & I were fighting & I came to them (which I don't do) they would ask what I did wrong!

I am a very blessed woman!! I know it! I don't always show it though!

I have a wonderful husband. He is kind, generous, sensitive, loving, protective, strong and dependable. He is honest and a man of his word. He has a wonderful work ethic. Not only does he work hard all day at work, he then comes home and helps out here (a LOT). In addition to all of that he is very good looking and funny. He is my best friend and strongest supporter.

It wasn't always easy. In fact, we almost didn't make it. But I am soooo glad that we stuck through the hard times. It's definitely been worth it! God has truly blessed me in giving me such a wonderful man to call "husband".

I could say the exact same thing about my hubby except I wonder if it's my dad who secretly wishes that. [;)]

Like some of you, my Dh didn't have a good example of how to be a loving husband and father while growing up. But regardless of that he has become a wonderful husband and incredible father to our children.

I'm married to a woman who is amazing. She works every weekend and every Tuesday night as an OB nurse (a VERY respected one on her floor, by the way, who is considered one of the best scrub nurses at our hospital for during C-sections) so she can care for our son while I'm working during the day.

She's so good in the kitchen that she makes my mother jealous, and I hold her personally responsible for me needing a gym membership so I can drop extra pounds. :)

She's organized. She handles our bills, now days, in a manner that is both efficient and effective in keeping us in the black.

She puts up with me and my insecurities. I suffer from depression, and she's been good at putting up with me when I go into the depths.

She lets me go out with my friends and have a good time, without complaining (though she'll let me know if I need to stay in for the evening). She also accepts who my friends are.

She and I had problems conceiving a child. After two miscarriages, I watched her go through a personal Hell (its hard when all your friends have kids, AND your job includes watching people have babies... some of whom you question if they even deserve to have the child for certain reasons). After years of trying, we were finally blessed with Bryce Hayden, and she has become a great and loving mother to him. I really believe that everything she does in her life is now for him.

And she's a Christian.

me too! (we don't fight either, but i just know i would get the blame if anything were to go wrong)

My hubby is absolutely wonderful. He's caring, considerate and such a man after God's own heart. He compliments me when I feel my worst and even when I feel pretty good. He overlooks my many flaws and is such an incredible communicator. We are together 24/7 since we run our business together. We rarely even disagree much less fight.

We began our relationship praying together and continue now 3 1/2 years into our marriage. He adopted my dd that was totally abandoned her father when he left for someone else. She is now secure and stable and knows that she is loved.

He's hardworking, creative and such a positive, inspiring person. He rarely meets a stranger and is well respected by all who know him. God knew that I needed someone so special. I am so incredibly blessed and thankful for such a wonderful man to call "husband".

I am married to a pretty wonderful guy. That doesn't mean that we don't have our moments and he can get on my last nerve but he is a good husband.

One of the ways I know this is from something my oldest daughter told me, well actually a couple of things. I was talking to her once about how it has been said a woman marries someone like their father. She said she has learned what kind of man to look for because she has seen how well her father treats me. She told me how some of her friends fathers are with their friends mothers and she said you don't know how well you have it, Dad treats you so good. She said how he is always doing such nice things for me. I guess I didn't realize that it isn't like that for some people.

I am glad to know that my daughters have had a good role model for how a husband should treat their wife, they know how they should be treated and what to look for.

My neighbors remind me of how good I have it with my sweetie. They cannot stand being around each other. He cut out one of his jobs so he could be home in the evening and she went on and on about how she was going to hate having him around every night.

I am married to a wonderful person too. We married young and have 'grown up' together.[sm=purplelaugh.gif] But God knew what He was doing when we only 'thought' we did.

Our son is raised and now it's just the two of us again. God has been good to me.[sm=sparklecrown.gif] (I've always wanted to use that crown smiley.)

I am absolutely married to a most wonderful and godly man. I am very blessed. He loves God and strives with all his might to stay faithful and sold out to God. I love it. He challenges me with his passion for Christ and God has been steadily moving in his life - strengthening him and building him up. We are both divorcees and this is our second marriage. It is like being married to a male version of me. We are so much alike and get along so well. We don't argue but rather we discuss and try to really understand the others point of view.

All my friends and family love and respect him which is fantastic. He is tenderhearted and a truly joyful person. Very rarely is he in a bad mood. He keeps me laughing literally everyday and that makes any disagreement melt away. He teaches me the Bible as well and really helps me to understand spiritual things. He is trustworthy and just a really great guy - not to mention totally handsome![;)]

The latter is so much greater than the former!!!![:D]

ME, TOO!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband is a wonderful man. He's a better person than I (although he would heartily disagree if he heard me say that), and he inspires me to do better myself. He's so patient, loving, affectionate, forgiving, kind, thoughtful.... a true servant leader. I am thankful every day that I am blessed to be his wife.

I am!! My husband is awesome because He is empowered by the Holy Spirit and has surrendered his life to be changed by God via sanctification and dying to the flesh. He is a hard-worker, smart, talented, funny, personable, caring, loving, loyal, faithful, dedicated, and trustworthy. And, I know (and other mothers have said) that he is going to be an excellent father some day! Glory to God!
