There are three contemporary hoaxes. All three are based on psuedo-science. All three give power to the elite over the ordinary man. All three alter the legal process. All three are 'anti-Christ' - against Christ.

The first is global warming. It is based on pseudo-science. It encourages nations to give up their sovereignty in favor of the elite on an international scale, with international law to regulate how we spend our money, where it is channelled to, and for what cause.

The second is evolution. Again - pseudo-science, power to the elite, and it alters the legal process in a different way - by altering our views of the value of personal rights. On a very deep level, when push comes to shove - a collection of cells (which is all that an evolved person is) isn't worth fighting for the rights for. Someone made in the image of God is worth defending - but not a chancy collection of cells.

The third hoax is mental illness. This bypasses the legal system for both the 'mentally ill' person and the elite. A person, by the mere opinion of the elite is dubbed incapable of mental processing on some level and therefore doesn't require real legal defense. Or, from another angle - the 'mentally ill' person can receive a lesser sentence because by the opinion of an elitist they were dubbed 'mentally incompetent'. If someone attempts to kill themselves and/or does - it is labelled 'mental illness'. We aren't accountable to God for illnesses. We are accountable to God for moral actions. God holds a murderer of themselves and/or others accountable for their actions because it isn't an illness. It is a sin. If someone thinks they are Buddha or Jesus Christ - God holds them accountable for lying to themselves and others about who they are. It is time we started calling psychological problems what they are - sin - and dealing with them as such and so truly helping people - not drugging them up so much they never can develop the moral strength and skills that they need.

All three hoaxes are an attempt to rid the world of the rightful rule of Christ over the hearts and minds of men and replace it with other men ruling - the experts who common men are 'blessed with the privilege' of voting for (but don't scrutinize them if they are liberal - Michelle or Barack Obama, etc.,).

God bless all abundantly,
Galadriel2

Aside from the fact that you are too new to make an accurate assessment of my political leanings, the OP should know that an intelligent discussion of three topics requires three threads. The global warming topic is alive in the Conspiracy forum, Evolution is covered ad nauseum in Science and Origins and the Mental Health issues are in two "one stop" threads in Health and Fitness.

My bipolar friends will be very happy to know that they are merely victims of a hoax and not suffering from a debilitating illness that they need medication to cope with. You've just saved them a lot of money. As Bill Engvall has been known to say, "Here's yer sign".

I can't figure out why Christians aren't taken seriously by the rest of society.

I'm not sure what elite you have in mind but I'm pretty sure you're giving them a great deal too much credit.

Tell me this when you have gone to war, seen horrible unspeakable things done to human beings and when you get back those images stat with you.

Tell that to all the children who have been abused and abused and abused...And there is pain and anger and saddness that goes along with that abuse.

Tell that to a woman who has been raped. And she needs help to get beyond the rape.

Tell that to a woman who is experencing post-pardum (sp?) due to her horomones.

I agree. Where do you live? Maybe they should close down all of the mental hospitals in your state. I'll go write your congressman and mine.

Mental illness does not justify sin. . .

BUT

Everything else you said is pure baloney here. And, as a sufferer of bi-polar disorder, manic depression, and anxiety disorders, I am deeply offended that a self-professing Christian could act out so naively and arrogantly towards such an issue as this.

I had no idea that my delusion and my panic attacks were a result of me not dealing with my problems. Gee, thanks for the enlightenment.
