When I was a child, I did not like Chinese food either. Seeing so many here who did not like it is interesting to me. As an adult, however, I love Vietnamese and Japanese food as well as pho made by different Asian cooks, but I still hesitate at Chinese. I think it is because the Chinese we get here is all sweetened up, colored up, and Americanized.
Some other stuff that makes my stomach do absolute flip-flops, just thinking about them, are junk (yeah, I meant junk) made out of blood (EEEEeeeeewwww!), head cheese, tongue, and raw meats of any kind, etc.
