As reported in TVguide.com, Blake Lewis has lost his record deal with Arista. He is currently working on a new album. Why? No one liked the first one.[:'(]

While AI is certainly a springboard, it is far from a guarantee of success. As far as Blake Lewis, I don't think anyone on that season of AI had a real chance at a major career. Of course Blake may keep performaning and making music, it just won't be on the Super Star level.

Besides, his entire schitck has been done and done to death.

I disagree. Jordin Sparks has done really well. Phil and Chris are doing Christian music and I know my girl Melinda Doolittle is going to blow up soon.

Melinda was great on the Today Show singing to her cousin at her wedding. k
