My dad passed away back in April and I am home for a visit with my mom for the first time since the funeral. It is very hard and stressful being "Home" without my dad being present. I have always been a daddy's girl. Mom and I have never had a healthy relationship and that bothers me, expecially now. I've been so stressed out that I have gained 10 pounds in the last two weeks of visiting with my mom. Please pray for my relationship with my mom and for a better way to handle the stress of it all.[sm=aside.gif]

Lord we thank you that Bootoo's father was a great dad. I just pray for this relationship that doors will open and closeness will develop. Help us to realize our time is short here and that loving and caring for and honoring parents is what you would have us to do. Help Bootoo to put her past feelings aside, forgive from her heart and just be a strength at this time. In Jesus name Amen.

Father, asking for Your help and comfort as Bootoo and her mom both still morn the loss of Bootoo's dad. Thank You for his life and influence on Bootoo. Help Bootoo and her mom to turn frist to You for comfort, and also Lord to each other. Draw them closer to each other. Relief the stress Father, and fill this home with peace. Help Bootoo Father in every way that You know is best. In Jesus name. Amen

Lord, I lift up bootoo to you, I pray that her relationship between her and her mother continue to grow and that they have a great week this week. I pray that they both have peace and comfort in knowing that you are watching over them, please just protect them and I pray that bootoo have a stress free week...

I pray for you to find a new relationship with your mom. It is not going to be easy as you deal with losing your dad and "finding your mom" Take it one day at a time and remember how important you are. You need to remember you are a child of God he made you the way you are and he loves you dearly. I don't know what caused your relationship with your mom not to be the same as with your dad. Maybe she was jealous of the relationship you had with him and felt she didn't mean as much to you. Maybe she just doesn't know how to get close to someone. Your mom has to accept you for who you are and you can only do so much to make her like you more. If you are doing all you can then you are doing right. Each time you are together things should get better. I will be praying for you.
