JuniorChurchRay -> Choice (6/29/2008 9:36:10 AM)

I was recently let go at my job. I believe that I have enough evidence to file a suit against them, but I feel that I am doing it out of vengeance. I know that vengeance is His. Please pray for me to let go of the hurt and do what God wants me to do.

yes Father, we desire your perfect will in all things. Sometimes there are unpleasant things that we must do in life to fight for what is right and just, to protect others who may be future victims. Sometimes it is not for us to take action, but sometimes we are an instrument of God. Doing either out of the will of God is sin, doing either out of vengeance or with an unforgiving heart is sin. Only Ray can know what you are speaking to him in this situation, so I ask that you help him to hear your voice and to discern what you are calling him to do. In the name of Jesus.

We are not robots. When we are called to act, there is a measure of emotion present just as Christ felt emotion and zeal as he chased the money changers out of the temple. Yet, he was not in a rage, he remained in control of his actions and his thoughts before God. That is the key. Help Ray to know if he should take action, or if he should be merciful and walk away from this situation. Give him discernment and the wisdom to walk in it. Protect him from the deception of the enemy, clear his thoughts, give him Godly voices to counsel him in this, bring your word to his remembrance, and send your Holy Spirit to walk him thru this. Cause him to be full of Strength and Courage to obey your will Father, whether to take action or whether to let it go. Either way, bring peace and confirmation. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
