Ginny, I haven't had Garrett all week -- still staying with his grandma. Congratulations on the new dryer, btw. That's great! Sounds like you're expecting all your kids in for the holidays . . . sounds like lots of fun. I'm so glad you got to enjoy the day with your daughter and and wonderful meal at Red Lobster -- love their cheese biscuits! Lobster, too [:)] I didn't get the dress until just a while ago. There was a whole mix up about where she was supposed to deliver it . . . she delivered it to the Church of God instead of Assembly of God where I'd told her I would be. Actually, she thought she was looking for a Baptist church . . . plus, as small as our town is, I was shocked that she didn't know the different churches and where they are located. There is no Baptist church anywhere near our church . . I'd been very succinct about the directions, AND giving her the name of the church . . . and it kinda gets worse from there . . . the secretary at the chruch she wound up at knew me and suggested she take it to a mutual friend who works at a real estate office because she knew thiw woman was a good friend of mine, and she would be able to get it to me, so when I got home I had this strange message on my machine from this woman (who's name is also Linda) saying she had an article of clothing someone had dropped off there for me [sm=eek.gif][sm=crazy.gif][sm=smile-l.gif] . . . . I didn't get home until 2:00 and was exhausted, so I was not about to run back into town to pick up this dress. She wound up having to go retrieve it where she left it and bring it to me [sm=shakinghead.gif] . . . . Guess I'll sew for a bit tomorrow afterall. We DID have a nice visit when she finally got here with it, tho [:)] Barb, that's too funny about the girls and the peas [:D] . . . you'll have to post those pics for us to see. Sounds like you're having a big gang in also. We're going to the church picnic, then will watch the city fireworks display from the churchyard. We've done this for the last several years, and really enjoy it. I'll be making my overnight vegetable salad to take, and the lemon cake/pudding thing I've done a couple of times recently -- my own concoction, but we really like it. Guess I should go in and put the vegetable thing together -- no cooking to it, more like a relish, really, and very good. Maggie, your lasagna & Caesar salad sounds scrumptious . . I'm not surprised your son thinks it's the best [:)] . . . hope you have a very nice dinner tonight with all your family.
