Does everyone have plans for tomorrow? I don't, and I was wondering if there would be anyone to keep me company here. Not that I don't have anything to do around here, of course, but who wants to?

Hey Pammy and everyone:

I have the WHOLE DAY OFF, though I will be getting the house ready for the youngest dd's b-day party. So I'll be around a lot, and we can talk Pammy!

Tomorrow I will be sleeping in cuz there's no class tomorrow, yay! Then going for a quick lunch, and going to work. Somebody please pray for us tomorrow night *sigh*. I don't think it's going to be fun being a police / fire dispatcher on the 4th of July. That's gotta be worse than being a night auditor on St. Patrick's Day in Wisconsin..........

Good morning people. I really shouldn't be up quite this early but kitty insisted. And now that she got me up she isn't even around anymore. Maybe I'll go back to bed, I've got lots to do later today and will need to be able to stay awake for the fireworks at the Prom tonight

Good morning, Broyce! My kitty got me up, too. I wish I could go back to sleep, but I think I'll get started on some housework then hit the books.

You've got Prom tonight?

Prom = Promenade

It's the name for a park here. It's up on top of a hill looking out over the bay. I've never been there before for fireworks so it should be good.

Aah! I was wondering if there was something I'd missed.

That does sound nice! Probably much nicer than our fireworks down here. We have a little pasture we usually go to and watch the fireworks... but we get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

I'm up, but I have to go to work all day. Good thing though - I got clearance from my boss that I CAN work more than 40 hours (it may not paid as OT, but I don't care) while I'm working on this project - because it HAS to be done. This is a HUGE blessing with only the one paycheck right now.

I'll be working from 8:30 - 6:30 today and probably a bit over the weekend too.

Happy 4th everyone! We need to pray for the safety of all our military - and THANK them for what they are doing for us - especially today. One of my good friends is in Afghanistan right now, and I am so incredibly proud to call her friend.

Hey, Lisa! That's great that you're allowed to work extra hours this week! I may work some today, but I won't get paid for it.

Oh, it's just not this week - it's until this project is finished - so I'm going to shoot for 50/week until it's completed.

That's so cool!!!

I got most of my work done yesterday!! There's still a little more, but that can wait until Monday... and a lot of people are still off on Monday so things should be quiet.

Yeah, this is a huge blessing - because seriously, I was looking to try to find a 2nd job - now my regular job will also become my 2nd job. LOL If that makes any sense???????

I'm waiting for the coffee to kick in - I'm waking more tired than normal - but it's because I've been stressing out over things - and I know better too! Blech.

But, I feel a lot better now.

Today will just be a normal day at the office - I may have to cover the front desk though - I'm not sure. I hope not - at least not until 3pm. But, if I have to, I will do so....I just don't get nearly as much work done that way, AND I can't have on my headset to listen to my music/preaching. So, I'm praying I can just stay in my cubicle until this afternoon.

Glad to hear things are going so well for you and hope that you get lots done today. I can't say my job is going all that well right now, though!

Good morning, Gary!

Well, I just got an email from one of my professors for the Fall. It seems I have a lot of work to do BEFORE the class starts in August, meaning I will basically be taking two classes at a time for now... the Statistics that started last week plus this new class! I will be driving out of state for a week to take the class on campus... in August!! I thought it would be in October! This is really frustrating because right now, my motivation is waning and I don't know why.

Morning everyone!!

Sorry 'bout all you chaps and chapesses with cats... My dog doesn't tell me when to get up: I tell my dog.

(ok not true, but as my ddh used to say "never let the facts interfere with a good story.")

when is your dd's birthday???

Tomorrow. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, 11 years ago today I was hugely pregnant. My dd and I slept in, and when we woke up we decided to go to the 4th of July festivities. No sooner had we arrived there than I knew that we'd have a baby sometime in the next 24 hours. I spent that night watching the fireworks from the big glass windows of the hospital room.

Well, I was just reminiscing the other day, and I came across this song that reminded me to keep working on my degree or suffer the consequences...

No degree? This is your next job...

So I don't know about you, GnM, but that's quite motivating!

Well, my parents just called and they want the family to go to the parade, so I'll be out for a bit while we enjoy that together.

Good morning, everyone, and Happy Independence Day!

The Twilight Zone marathon is continuing today, so I probably won't be on as much as I had figured. I will try to keep lurking though here and there.

Have great days, everyone!

Well, people, I am "unofficially" working today. That means the office is closed (no phones to answer), but I am doing some catch-up work that I never can do during normal hours. I don't really have to, but the pastors said I could work any hours over I needed to give me a check during the week I will be off later this month. Isn't life GRAND!!!

I'm at work - at the front desk (where I really didn't want to be, but oh well). At least I have on my music (through the laptop) and it's been relatively quiet so far - thankfully.

Got a GREAT response from an email I sent a couple of weeks ago - I'm THRILLED about it - it's still for Brain Bowl - on a campus where we've never been able to make inroads, but, because of interactions I had with the new(old) provost in my previous position at the college, I'm able to meet with him to get it going there now. This is too exciting for me today !!!!!!!

Oh, I LOVE those kinds of days! Enjoy!

I'm trying to read this statistics, but I don't remember it being this difficult last time I took it. I think the book is just written badly! When I try to read it word for word, soaking everything in, I can't understand it. But when I skim it's actually pretty simple.

Oh, and I just finished chatting with a guy... now I need chocolate!
