ORIGINAL: mutinywxgirl I'm at work - at the front desk (where I really didn't want to be, but oh well). At least I have on my music (through the laptop) and it's been relatively quiet so far - thankfully. Got a GREAT response from an email I sent a couple of weeks ago - I'm THRILLED about it - it's still for Brain Bowl - on a campus where we've never been able to make inroads, but, because of interactions I had with the new(old) provost in my previous position at the college, I'm able to meet with him to get it going there now. This is too exciting for me today !!!!!!! lisa....good work!!!! you're a force to be reckoned with, aren't ya, gal? LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not so sure about that, but, Brain Bowl is something that I LOVE (not sure it's a true passion, but mighty close), and I will do whatever is necessary to keep it going at my school - even when I'm no longer working there! And this guy used to be #2 in charge of the school - so he's the perfect one to work with now that he's back in a provost position - temporarily. He's still got the ear of the president, and that's a good thing. God gave me this desire - I'm just following through on that!

ORIGINAL: cammo2006 roughly, yeah. 11:45 by the 'pooter clock atm. you're 15 hrs ahead of me. that's not so hard to remember. boy...i remember working on the international reservations desk at united. OYYYY!!! GMT totally kicked my butt. but i'll always remember chicago is GMT-6 (or -5 during DST). i'm sure that'll come in handy some day!!! GMT Rocks!!!!!!! You NEVER know when it might come in handy to know it, huh, Cammo????? but trying to keep track of 25 time zones? ughhhh....i was always bringing my little chart up on-screen. it could get confusing when you talk to one person in england...then the next person's in japan...and the next person's in chile. after enough of that...i just wanted to know what time **I** could go home! lol Oye, now that could get very confusing! quote:

I already have a number of places I bookmark things and don't need another to keep track of. :) I hit a bookmark once by speedreading, the bookmark flew right across the floor! quote:
ORIGINAL: .Pammy Does everyone have plans for tomorrow? I don't, and I was wondering if there would be anyone to keep me company here. Not that I don't have anything to do around here, of course, but who wants to? I am planning on just taking it easy today. I caught some type of cold/virus or something.

I would warn everyone not to use YouTube. A ruling in a US court has just required them to hand over ALL of their logged IPs, what they watched and when they watched it to Viacom. Although IPs are not directly identifiable, they can be easily traced back to the ISP and thence to you. Just a friendly warning.

This is really frustrating because right now, my motivation is waning and I don't know why. Well, I was just reminiscing the other day, and I came across this song that reminded me to keep working on my degree or suffer the consequences... No degree? This is your next job... Singing and playing guitar on TV? Cool. Geez. What would you all do without me on here as a 'straight man'? Why, we'd have to groom someone else to unsuspectingly give me the straight lines, of course!
