It's raining about as hard as it did last week when we had 5 inches in a day (actually in a few hours).

We need a smiley in a row boat.

Doesn't John get in enough trouble already without competing using puns?

On an unrelated note it is dark as night outside and pouring again!

That was us yesterday - we had horrible storms all over the area.

Well, it's getting dark here. There's lightning, thunder, and a little rain. I had planned to be out of the office for a little while this afternoon, but it can wait until tomorrow. I'm just grateful for the rain!

Anybody home?

Just trying to pass the time as a 30 GB file copies from my laptop to my desktop (dunno why it's taking so long, the transfer should be about 2-3 times this speed).

LOL!! I like that one!

Another pun'kin story... we haven't played with the laser light much lately... you should've seen his face when he heard the familiar "click". Oh, and speaking of sounds, last night I was watching a Mean Kitty/Sparta video and they were playing with one of Punky's favorite squeaky mouses that he can't seem to find right now... he was looking all over for the mouse during the video.

Hi everyone.

I am looking for the battery charger for my camera. I don't remember where I put it. My house is not that big.

Of course, Bill Cosby did argue in one of his routines that you're not really a parent if you only have one child. Because you never have to deal with things like cries of "Will you stop touching me!!!" from the back seat of the car. (If you do get that with an only child, you've got even bigger problems!)

I had the same thought, Robb, about Bill Cosby.
But... No, no, no. You have it wrong. The main point about having only one child is that you always know who did it when something happens that shouldn't.

Oh, good point. I forgot about that. Been a while since I actually heard the routine!

Okay, the storm that hit where I work dumped SO much rain that when it stopped for a few minutes to allow us to leave, I had to walk through nearly 6 inches of water in the parking lot - just to get to my car - that was also sitting in nearly 6 inches of water! That's the most I've ever seen fall there since I've been working for them.

Mornin' everyone! Lisa... sounds like you got a LOT more rain than I did. Mine started early and had a lot of thunder, but there was no hard rain.

We have a major hurricane out there now... and it looks like it'll stay out to sea! That's a good thing. The forecasters can have lots of fun tracking it and yet there's no landfall (i.e. no loss of life or property damage)

Boy we'd like to have some of that rain in Chattanooga! It's going all around us, and the meteorologists think we have a force field over us!

It's very dry here, though not as bad as last year.

Yesterday two kids visiting in the neighborhood were playing with fireworks in the woods behind our home and set them on fire. Very stupid thing to do with it being so dry.

Hope everyone has a great day!

As nice as it is to not have any risk of property damage/hurt people, folks around my part of the country are hurting with drought, and it's partly because we haven't had any big storms to drop lots of rain on us. For myself, I like having a TS every now and then. It adds variety to life, and it raises the water table.

Yep, the quiet TS is perfect for dumping a LOT of rain and raising the water tables and helping to fight off the drought. I do hope we get one soon.
