Oh, we love tropical storms!! There's just enough wind to keep some people at home (hehe), it's breezy, raining, dark, & relaxing, and we get lots of rain. We just don't want damaging winds.

Have you considered moving to Greenland like me? Only downside is there's not much soccer played there.

It's definitely a good idea. Any team name suggestions for our Greelandic team? Maybe we could work towards getting FIFA membership too. Then maybe if I train hard I could play international soccer for Greenland!!!!

Forgive my ignorance but since I don't live on an island, I'm not sure what you mean by trade winds! 
Trade winds are the prevailing winds of the tropics - and along with high and low pressue systems, move tropical storms along their paths.
