ORIGINAL: shemaromans Hey, Robb. Have a great time in the Big Apple! (Macy will be fine) Thanks Shema! I sure hope so. But she's having enough difficulties that I'm taking her to the vet first thing in the morning. Probably be at least another $100 bill. But everything I've read on her symptoms is like, get it checked out immediately because it could be something life-threatening if left go. So I don't have much choice. -Robb If it turns out to be a serious condition that requires supervision/meds, the vet could probably keep her while you're gone. I'll recycle aluminum cans to help you pay for it, if necessary. Awww, thanks! My landlady, who is absolutely wonderful, would look after her (she has before), but if she needs medicated that's a problem for her. (Let's just say it's difficult enough it could make for an event on a Japanese game show.) I'll just have to see what the vet says. If they would only need a couple days for treatment maybe they wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg for it. And my landlady said she could pick her up from the vet. On a lighter note, check it out - 20 posts away from Super Member! -Robb

Rob, have a lovely time. If you can, I'd love to see some pictures of The Cloisters. This week has been very busy for me, and today is full. Studying french and taking care of household duties will fill the first part of the day. Then I will begin teaching at 2, finish at 6 and head out to the theater to attend the opening night of Oliver. How I am going to change into my dress for the play is a mystery to me, but perhaps it will turn out fine. I'm going to try to get pics of me with some of the cast members, and I'll be putting them up on Facebook, so if you're interested, visit over there in a few days... besiderself

Mornin' everyone! I don't think I even posted yesterday, I was so busy. We had an 8-hour training and even though we got lots of stretch breaks, it wasn't easy sitting there and I left TIRED. Then I had to grab a bite to eat and then had a home visit until 6pm. When I got home, I checked messages and went to bed. Just woke up a few minutes ago. My books for my next class should arrive this weekend so.... this weekend I have a LOT of work for Statistics, have to begin my reading for my intensive class, do a lot of reading for my training, find a roommate for the intensive, make an appointment to get my car fixed (I'm driving up), and go to a Bible study. I don't think y'all will be seeing much of me for a while. Oh, and speaking of recycling, I should probably take all those ink cartridges to Habitat for recycling. Robb, enjoy your trip!! Have lots of fun and take lots of pictures for us, k? I'll be praying for Macy, too. Esther, sounds like you have a busy day planned, too. Have a great day, everyone!

Just a quick question.......have any of you had a phone interview before???? How is it the same/different from a regular face to face interview???

Rosie; Yes, I have had a phone interview before. I even had to sing over the phone to the interviewer! It's not that much different, but I would say to feel free to take the time to formulate your responses--we don't like to leave silent pauses in our phone conversations, but you may need to allow yourself to have those as you think through your answers to questions. For me, I am less likely to ask the questions I need to ask or ask for clarification over the phone. Be sure not to rush yourself, and stop and think whether you need more information or clarification before answering a question. Hope these thoughts help. besiderself
