I talked to him about it and we agreed it was stupid and annoying. Later in the day we discussed an email to his wife that I had sent, she assumed I had already talked to him about it (but I hadn't) He allowed for the fact I may have mentioned it, but he wasn't paying attention.

I asked if she was jealous that he was ignoring another woman....

Weddings are probably the most divisive social events in one's life.

Religion is very divisive.

Just gotta...blow it off. So what if they don't like you? First, no one is...all that. People are just gonna...dislike you. Its life. If they ignore you for their social event...when you have a social event...be absolutely sure to....invite them and to treat them with love. Maybe you want revenge? I can tell ya, love...is the best revenge. Be kind to your enemies and it will be like heaping burning coals upon their heads.

As far as being alone with a member of the opposite sex...that is a big, big, big....no no. Innocent or not, do not do this. Leave the door open. Invite another in.

I'd much rather be referred to as a lady than a girl.

"Well she's all you'd ever want,
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner.
Well she always knows her place.
She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner.
She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady."
You got dat right, bub.

Well, lol!, since Baby Bop is not for those of us above the age of 4 or 5, what's the big deal?

I never have understood the angst (offense taken) about Barney and Baby Bop. It seems much ado about nothing.
Baby Bop; THAT's her name!

Thanks, y'all!

I know nothing about Barney and his friends, except that Barney is purple (and apparently Baby Bob is green).

. . . Just going through all these goofy toys that my husband collected, getting them ready for ebay . . . and thought I would amuse myself (and maybe some of y'all in the process by using different ones for my avatar).

I got very offended today when I was at Kinkos and this older guy starts using his cell phone and talking very loudly in what was an otherwise very quiet environment!

Then there's the poster I was debating with, and I called her "Darling," because it was part of her CW name. I almost changed it, in case it came across as rude, but I didn't. Maybe I was rude to leave it?

Kerrlaw is quite musical lately. I'm sure if we could actually hear him we would all be offended.

( Kerrlaw has mentioned in the past that he doesn't really sing much.)

Should we be offended by simply the thought of him singing?

And I think in that second song he was shouting--Mrs. Kerrlaw was probably feeling quite offended.

Yes, poor Mrs. K.

If we make him stop singing, maybe she will make us all fresh Lobster.

I tell everyone that scripture teaches us to to "Make a joyful NOISE to the Lord"

It never said it had to be melodic, just happy.

That's what I say. Someone in church told me once I was singing off key (I must have offended them) and that is how I responded. Plus I was terribly offended* that someone would feel the need to even tell me that. the song was over, what did they want me to do at that point?

*not really, I did just roll my eyes

That's one of the reasons they say they crank our music volume so loud at my church... So people don't have to hear themselves sing...

You know very well, Phosy, that what they think doesn't mean 1/3 of a diddly nor .333 of a squat. Follow your heart. I just hope I live where you will be serving. We have great cops around here.

I'm offended by the salesman that called me yesterday. He yelled at me last week when I wouldn't interrupt our business administrator to take his call, so when he called yesterday, I informed him that we wouldn't be using his services. He immediately began railing about how that wasn't a Christian attitude and called my faith into question. Ah, the joys of working for a church. I get a call like that about twice a year and they always upset me. I guess I'm also offended that I get upset.

Why, Oh, Why do people think that my being a Christian means giving them whatever they want?

OOOH, I get offended when people use "you call yourself a christian" so that they can get away with bad behavior....

Now if it is my bad behavior, then they can say that to me.
