I think I'm in an offensive mood today...I should probably blog instead of post around here today.

Least that way, I offend everyone at the same time!

Precisely! Why just offend one person here and there when you can offend a bunch of people all at once?

If I understand your post you are asking about how to address those who get offended at what you say in a godly manner?
The answer to that is hard if you look at each situation with a microscope and try to please everyone based on how you personally perceive they will react to what you say.
Communication even in this form is difficult because all communication requires interpretation and that is where things get bogged down, misconstrued and assumptions are made.
Clarifying everything we say so as not to offend can get tiresome. And frankly, I like you have gotten to the point where I just don't care to attempt the eggshell walk.
However the universal remedy for all this is to speak the truth in love. Approach every conversation with love and don't let the flesh come in and take over. As long as you have said what you feel is right in love with the right motive and without any malice, envy, or ulterior motive your conscience is clean and you can walk away not having to worry about how they took it. That is God's job.

Blessings

I think that's all overly simplistic and condescending.

Just Kidding, just kidding.

I'm pretty sure I'm not that holy.
My motives are rarely unselfish.

But I have had some clarity on these matters recently.

Thanks!

Just so our new poster doesn't get the wrong impression, we've actually discussed the issue and for the most part now we are just being goofballs...

Of course, I won't name any names lest I offend one of the goofballs...

I'm also offended by the mention of those items. Let me tell you my rectal thermometer story...

I called the dr to ask how much tylenol I could give DeeDee and he gave me heck for not having on so I had to go buy on and when he heard what her temp was he put her in the hospital where we prayed and she got better quickly.

Is there a better thread to talk about rectal anything than the "easily offended" thread?

Should I confess that I'm the one who started the rectal thermometer discussion in the other thread? Or would that offend people?

I always said you were a really sharp dresser.

A real cool cat.

You're hip to the lastest fashion trends.

Celebrities ask you whose dress to wear (isn't it embarressing when a man asks you that...)

Edited so that no one was offended by my spelling error. (although *brat* also fit)

I'm offended that you used the Ray Charles smiley without giving him credit.
