The foundations of George Washington's childhood house have been found at Ferry Farm in Virginia, the setting of the legendary cherry tree story.

Prehistoric specimens, wig curlers, and a half million other artifacts discovered at the site will help scholars fill in large gaps in the story of the first U.S. president's early life. (See pictures from the site.)

I heard that on the radio yesterday and thought it interesting.

I wondered, but no mention was made about them finding a cherry tree stump on the property...

That is pretty interesting. I like history and them finding artifacts.
