I was at this birthday party with a group of people who were apart of the hate McCain crowd during the primary. They said he was just as bad a Obama and he was nothing more then a democrat in a republican suit. Funny now they think McCain is ok. So now I wonder what ever happened to McCain being just as bad as Obama?

Sometimes it becomes necessary to accept the lesser of 2 evils. Remember, this is government and not church. Another consideration of the argument may be that they truly supported Clinton and have to cut their losses. It is a sad commentary, but I would gladly accept it to leave Obama out.

I do not think McCain is the best selection that the Republicans could have chosen, but he is so much better than Obama that there is no comparison.

Thanks

I guess once that choice went from hypothetical to reality they decided that in fact McCain was not as bad as Obama.

I imagine they supported Hucklebee, Romney, Giuliani, Thompson or some other Republican candidate and got caught up in it. We all tend to exaggerate from time to time (I know I do).

I think Clinton supporters who said they were going to vote for McCain if Obama won the nomination are in the same boat.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'bad'....

Personally, I pick my Presidents by their judgement , life experience, ability to govern (i.e. the mode of Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton), willingness to listen to an opposing view, communication skills and leadership skills.
