I became a believer at a young age. As life went on many things happened to me that shook my faith and even caused me to fall away. Now after two marriages ended and living a sinful life for many years I am lucky to have the desire to do away with this sinful life, but don't have the zeal that I did when younger. Where do I go from here?

You start by repenting and then get to know the Lord. Get into His Word, Get into a bible believing church, One that believes the bible is the inerrant Word of God. Start praising Him for who He is. Pray, Praise, Worship and learn of Him. Surrender to Him and learn where He wants you to go.

Humble yourself before the Lord.
Beseech Him to take you back & to bring you back to where you once were, innocent & trusting.
Pray as a Pharisee in the Bible once did: I believe, help thou my unbelief.

It is said a people without a vision are lost. You need to let your faith in Christ help you develop a vision of who you want to be in Christ before you can ever begin to make progress. Once you get a clear idea of who you can be in Him, you have to want it for Christ does not take any prisoners. They say it is a fearful thing for an unbeliever to fall in to the hands of God but it is all joy to those who love Him. Now if you can but understand His forgiveness and love it will transform of your mind so much so that I am sure you will not recognise yourself.

Step one, develop your relationship with and understanding of Chirst and what He wants for you. This is basically, seek first the kingdom of god and everything else God desires for you will come out of that seeking. If you are willing, He will show you many great and amazing things which you know not at present and lead you in ways that you could not have imagined. However, all that is required of you is faith and love. They say to whom much is forgiven, the same loveth much. Do you now love?

With all the sin in the world and the enemy seeking whom he may destroy, you need to become very narrow minded,, see only Jesus and live in that love he has for you so that in turn you may love even your enimies.

START OVER! You`ve trusted Christ and walked His way. You felt His hand once and He lead you day by day. But you fell away because of sin. Now you`ve failed yourself and you don`t know why or what to do. The answer my friend is start over. You can.

The desire to do God`s will is a great starting point from which to start over. Now please continue to move forward by trusting and hoping in the Lord and His written Word. Isa.40:31 assures us that if we "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I agree with frankman. Start all over. Repent. Confess your sins to God ~ He's faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Don't get into the falseness of works. You can't pay God back ~ salvation is free ~ a gift. So, don't fall into that trap. But give your heart to God and let Him heal you.

Spend time reading the New Testament; getting to know Jesus and the love of the Father again. He is more than capable of taking care of the details. He loves you and wants you to live in the security of His love. You don't have to figure everything out ~ just simply keep coming to Him as His child. He'll do the rest.
