Now we need some of our newer posters to join us on the git-go of the new thread so they csn keep up. Like deblawson and smoky (can't think of the full name), and others. And many are missing and gave up on us like karlie, pammy, more that I can't think of their names right now. One was in a singing group up north, name started with an M, I think. We miss all of them.
What Santa said!!!

The biggest complaint from newbies is this thread runs too fast! Now...how ironic is that??? The "Geezer" thread is too fast for some folks???

Well I did have to do a googgle search to find out who it was. Not old enough to remember I guess.

Lamb Chop was a lamb hand puppet. Sheri Lewis was the ventriloquist who had Lamb Chop.

And I didn't have to google it up. Had to get Carol's help.

Hey Judy, glad to see you here. And rogasinger also.

And Sam, it is not polite to tell fibs even though you were typing and not saying it orally.

Guess I had better get ready to go do some of that stuff that someone don't want me to mention. So I will not use the word but three of the letters are the same as "word" except you take off the last letter and add a "k" to it. But I am one for not doing something that someone asked us not to do. Don't want them upset with me for sure.

Hi Santa and all! Love the new Palavering name.

Thanks Judy. I don't guess you saw the quiz in the old thread. Brings back lots of memories. Page 94, post 2328.

I heard they were doing a Ga. voting today. SIL works at one of the polls in Gwinnett County, Ga.

I did see it Santa and I got 18 of the 20. That is what reminded me of Howdy Doody. You are right again--great memories. Less stressful time in my life for sure.

With your screen name having buckeye in it, does this mean you are in Ohio?

Welcome to the threads, WorthaLotBuckeye!
Blessings,
Sharon-Marie

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

(Sigh) . . .

Up until about 2 months ago, I had a GREAT laser printer.

But I felt that Our Lord had other plans for it, and so I relinquished it . . . with the plan to get another one . . . only I didn't do that as expediently as I thought I would.

Last week, it occurred to me that I'm gonna need a printer to print packing slips and UPS mailing labels for all these goofy toys (plus, I really do need a printer for other reasons).

SO . . . I got on eBay and bought a wonderful HP Color Laser Jet printer (never opened; still sealed in the box) for an absolutely fabulous price.

The printer came earlier this morning.

A while ago, I went to get it all set up.

It's not until I put the installation disc in, and the video instructions did not automatically start playing that I thought something must be wrong.

So I clicked on on the "English" icon on the disc, found the written installation instructions and began reading them.

THAT's when I learned that this particular printer is not compatible with Macs (any of them).

(Sigh)

Fiddle.

I have used HP printers for 23 years; and the most recent printer worked very fine with my Mac.

I don't think it's the eBay seller's fault; he / she was very detailed and specific in the product's specifications. I'm sure (since I had to find it via the installation disc) that the seller simply didn't know to list that aspect . . . and it never occurred to me to question the compatibility.

And getting rid of this new printer is really no big deal: I'll either return it to the buyer or sell it on eBay.

But what is a big deal is that now I have to find another printer . . . which means that I won't be able to start selling the toys on eBay until I have the printer (and I was hoping that today would be the start day).

Oh well.

Thanks for listening, y'all.

OH - and I'm glad y'all like Lambchop; my choice today was between her and Baby Miss Piggie on roller skates.
