I have seen that I am not the only one to note: a slow day online. The world keeps turning and I am in a way amazed that any of us find time to post here. But we do, and it's my wish that the bottom-line result will be encouragement for us all. Right now I am downtown and there is a parade of walkers with balloons. That's all I know about it. I guess they found time for something that mattered to them. Good for them. :)

There is a place seldom visited where a high waterfall pours down onto the Tennessee River. The path takes its rare travelers across the midway of the river bluff where a hollow place allows passage directly behind the pouring waterfall. Long ago a young couple walked there. She picked up a rock to cut against the limestone bluff, a record remaining to mark their sojourn. Cold and callous as the bite of winter, he eventually broke that relationship, as if he had a wealth of relationships. Do not ask questions for they will not be answered. I am merely reflecting that long ago, in a place hardly known, in a natural sanctuary behind a waterfall, someone once inscribed her name, and mine. Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? - Song of Solomon 8:5

That's very poignantly told, Wintery.

I really wish I had something positive to contribute here today, but I just haven't had that kind of day. I will note that I have reflected several times that it seems futile to post in some threads. I have thought about many unnecessary and unkind things that from time to time pop up in a thread here or there. As someone once told me, "You can't make people act right". This is true.
