ORIGINAL: SGEnthusiast The Carolinas are beautiful. If I could choose a place to live, I would choose TN, NC, or VA (probably in that order). I do miss the mountains but if I moved, I know I'd miss the Lake. It's really true that contentment comes with being in the center of God's will and, since I feel like that's where I am, I feel very blessed to live in MI and am trying hard not to complain about the mosquitoes. Sony if you move to Virginia near where I live you can have the mountains & a lake at the same time.

I was raised in Oklahoma and spent all of my life there until 3 years ago when I became a Texan. Yes, I must admit it sure was hard to put that Texas tag on the front of my car! Yes, oksgfan stands for Oklahoma Southern Gospel Fan! Maybe someday I'll be able to return there. However, after reading a lot of posts on this message board, I think I need to move to Georgia or North Carolina so I can attend a lot more concerts!

I was born in Elbowoods, North Dakota, which is now 90 feet under Lake Sakakawea. So I was born 90 feet under water.

In the late 1940's, the US Corp of Engineers decided they might want to control water downstream on the Missouri River, so they put in the Garrison Dam and flooded all of our prime farm land. Then they saidn "Vamoose" So God blessed us and we moved South. I always say,"I'm a Redman, that left the Red rock region of the North Dakota Badlands, moved to the Red clay region of Georgia, to marry a Redneck".

Except for standing on a bed to see her shoes in a mirror, she doesn't seem like a redneck at all! Seriously, she is a real sweet lady. I look forward to seeing her (and you) again soon! Are y'all going to the "Jason" concert on Aug 2nd?

I was born in Springfield, MO. My parent's moved to Kansas and then to Colorado (I believe), but were were back in Springfield when I was two, and have never left! So I just say I've grown up here all my life!

ORIGINAL: robertyork This thread reminds me of Hank Snows 1962 number 1 country song. "I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE" Why is it that none of you folks or at least very few, maybe one or two, do not come from anywhere north. Such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, No and So Dakota, Oregon or Washington. Are there no SG fans from 'way up north"??? I grew up in Indiana but have lived all over the place.

I was born in Oklahoma, and lived there for about 9 years until my family moved to Kansas and I've been here for the last 20 years. My goal is to make it to Georgia or the Carolina's. Nothing beats living in the south!
