Alex asked me to ask all of you to, please, pray for him tomorrow morning. He has to go & get a shot before he can start school on the 2nd of September. He knows it will hurt & he would rather just not go to school than take the shot. Not going to school is not going to happen, so he will take the shot.
Let us also pray for all of the children & their teachers as school begins.

I just went to FoxNews to read about that.... I was unaware of the shooting. Its going to get to the point where they need metal detectors going into the schools.

Praying for these and the other situations!
I also have a PRAISE! I asked you guys to pray for the yard sale we are having tomorrow, well I sent emails to all my friends that live in our area and to friends at work. The list I sent out had prices for the bigger items and a lot of the baby things and we have sold a lot of stuff already!!!

Mrs. C. is on the road. Please continue your prayers:
I would appreciate your prayers today and the next few days for Mrs. C. and her sister Janet as they travel to and be in Florida for the next week. They are on the road now and their destination for today is near Savannah, Ga. Stay overnight there and travel on to Palm Coast, Florida tomorrow where they will meet with 2 other sisters, Doris and Mary, for their sister's retreat. Pray for good airline travel for Doris tomorrow as she will fly from Columbus, Oh. to Florida and for Mary as she will pick Doris up at airport and they will travel on to Palm Coast.
Palm Coast is where Tropical Storm Fay has been stationary for the past couple of days. Now moving west across Florida. Hopefully the rains and storms will be gone by tomorrow. Rain will be with them for most of the week but praying for stormy weather to be gone.

See they finally released a little information about Eva Mae. Continue to pray for her. She has been released from hospital and is at home recovering. Check SN home page for address and you can send her a card if you would like to. Sure she would be happy to receive cards even if she doesn't personally know you.

I have a prayer request to add to the list. Many of you know that I have been in a training class all month for my job as a police dispatcher. I have become friends with a young lady in the class and she is the subject of the prayer request. She was a little hesitant around me at first and this week I found out why. She practices Wicca. Since day one of the class I have not made it a secret as to what my faith is. Because of her past experiences with some Christians, she was afraid that I would be all over her and start condemning her to hell and harassing her if I found out about her beliefs.
Fortunately, God has not allowed that to happen. He is using me as a positive witness as to what being a Christian is all about. She is starting to ask me some questions about my faith and why I believe the things I believe. I feel blessed that God has put me into this position. The past experiences she has had with Christians has led her to believe that all Christians are nothing but phony believers, and from what she has told me this week I can understand why. She has been treated terribly by people claiming to be Christians.
This is the final week of our class so please keep us in your prayers. Please pray that Brooke will be receptive to the seed that God is allowing me to sow and pray that I will continue to allow God to use me to plant that seed and be the witness that He wants me to be.

I just got a call from Mrs. C. They arrived at their destination a few minutes ago and the other 2 sisters were there within 5 minutes . Now that is God working the timing out for sure. She said the sun was shining and it was hot.

Since I became a posting member, I've read your prayers needs and am praying for your needs. Before my husband passed away, we had people all over praying for him & we were so blessed that I promised God I would become a prayer warrior & I have received blessings for the opportunity to pray for others.
If you would, please remember me Tuesday @ 2:30pm. I have a tumor on my lower eyelid on the lash line & the Dr. thinks it is a basal cell carcinoma. Tuesday, he will remove the tumor & surrounding tissue, send it for biopsy. Having a scapel that close to my eye is unnerving. (ouch)
Praying for each need. God has us covered.
