Hi, I like the verse cited here about God knowing and having plans for his kids, us, plans not to harm... One of my favorite songs of all time is Like A River Glorious. Part of the lyric says, not a shade of worry, not a blast of care, not a .... hurry touch the Spirit there." That author knew God's assurance of not having plans for harm toward her. Job on the surface had lost it all but yet had the assurance, though He try me I shall come forth as gold. It's perspective..

Ha! I believe that the Lord knows that you could not handle the opposite.
That is the way I look at it. I figure He doesn't want to hear me whining so He sort of removes some of the stuff I could stumble over... sometimes!  OTOH, if I get a little too comfortable, every little thing in life gets on my last nerve.
reminds me of a line in Fiddler on the Roof......"would it spoil some vast eternal plan, if I where a weathy man?!"
I make just enough to get by, so when work is lacking, it is very hard to get those ends to meet. But, I know from past experience that the Lord is faithful to always meet those needs somehow. It may be at the last minute, but I have never gone hungry (I once was without a home for a week, but never hungry). I know that He loves me and keeps me in the palm of His hand.
