I need an ESL teaching job (or para- but over qualified for it). My applications are being ignored. I have great references. I’m in my 50’s, only 3 years experience (3 one-year contracts). The school ‘culture’ sees mainly 23-35 year olds as fitting in.

The committee of folks interviewing are mainly from that age group (except for principal). You can not directly contact them. All is done online, with the notation to not call or email the schools. It is so discouraging. I apply and get 'silence'. Pray I find favor to get an interview and offered a position.
