Uhhhh...no.

Not in Smalltown USA anyway. Or at least where I grew up. They were...ummm...well, lets just assume their families were VERY close.

Guy Fawkes Day is much more of a British thing.

ROFL!!

I was talking about firefighters, Skrey!!! *giggle*

Oh. Oops.
Well, I hope you have a happy birthday, anyhow... and if you want firefighters, maybe you should visit city hall. ;)

Sorry. It's a British holiday to celebrate hanging a guy 400 years ago. I'm very proud of my English heritage and all so maybe I forget that not everyone would be familiar with it. Oops.

Didn't they base the movie V for Vendetta on him?

Not exactly, though his story was prominently featured, and the masks were "Guy Fawkes" masks.
More info from the Wikipedia, for your edification and learning pleasure. :)

We must be twins today! after all there's now two (at least of us)

I'm good. spent most of the day waiting to get into my meeting and the rest of the day on the phone after my meeting. Good day though.

Just been getting lots of frustrating news lately and it seems to be beating me down pretty good this week. I may need to watch some soccer or play with my cat or something.

Awww, Barry *huggles*

We all get that way. What makes me feel better is to paint my toenails a really bright colour, or try a new lip gloss, or watch 300.

I reccomend any of those to brighten your day.

Yesterday I picked up kitty and she backhanded me to the face and caught me square in the eye. I don't know why she was unhappy with me.

Even though I don't own 300 it still seems the most likely option of the three! Though I may choose to watch something else, who knows.

Awww! Sometimes kitties just get like that. Mine caught me in the hand on Sunday and it's still healing. It doesn't really feel like he's gone right now, though I know it'll hit me in a few days. That's why I suggested loving on yours today.

(((((Michelle)))))

So far Macy has only ever scratched me in play or in trying to get away after giving her medicine. She's never intentionally decided to just swat me. Really sweet-tempered kitty.

It is, however, very dangerous to move your hands under the covers when she's on the bed.

My parents have permanent custody of my kitty.

I not allowed to have any pets at my house. We did have a fish that met his final resting place yesterday... but fish are not as cool as cats!

No fishies don't keep you warm at night or snuggle you. I had my fish for 3 years before she died though. I'd call home from camp to see if she was still alive.

Nope... fishies can't do THIS.

Robb, Punky was just playing rough... the swipe was just an accident. What was dangerous with him was wearing anything with a string or ribbon... my jogging pants had strings, and when he would see that, he'd go NUTS with the claws fully extended! *ouch* He attacked my bible's ribbon, too.

Awww...

Macy was cuddling on me like that last night. (After about 10 minutes of kneading my stomach!)

She has a fondness for ribbon-y things too. Including my Bible. Tying my shoes in the morning can get interesting if she catches sight of the laces!

When I woke up this morning, I was laying on my side and Macy was snuggled up against my chest with her head just a few inches from mine. It was so cute I didn't want to get up when the alarm went off!

Only post for the night (I'll be working through midnight).

In the winter, Shadow likes to get under the covers with me - right after I settle down to fall asleep. She waits until I am all "tucked in" and then crawls up over me and starts to pull back on the covers by my face. I have to pick them up and let her come down under them. She'll sprawl out (probably much like what Macy did today, Robb) with her head on my arm and her paws over my arm. I'm on my right side. She is so long that her tail touches my knees! She'll stay there for about 15-20 minutes and then once she's warm, will move to on top of the covers, but still on me. We go through this nearly every night during the winter!

While I was at Sharon's wedding, my brother told me that she even tried to come lay down with him - I said she must have been cold for her to do that - as she's never done it before with him.

Anyway, I agree, Terri - nothing beats kitty love!
